Re: Match thread v Lions
BTW. I don't think Brisbane are such a bad team. They haven't got much confidence, but there is quite a bit of skill there. Most of their bad play has been mistakes under pressure, rather than coming from not being good enough.
Unfortunately, our current lineup features some players who just aren't good enough. I can only hope that some have the scope to improve.

Great minds think alike.degruch wrote:Oh god, don't say it...I was thinking just the same thing at the Melbourne game. If Lonie continues in the same vein, surely we're gonna look at Long? If Billings continues, maybe we can look at Dal!SuperSaint wrote:meher baba wrote:McCartin and Billings have been extremrly disappointing. At least McCartin gives it 100% and has some excuse re poor delivery. Billings is invisible.
Billings attack on the ball reminds me of Aaron Fiora. He is bitterly disappointing at this stage of his career.
Seriously though, I have been so hopeful he would come good but he's gone backwards and expects the ball to come to him. That disposal in the second quarter was nothing short of woeful. Embarrassing for a so called highly skilled junior. Minchington has shown more than Billings when given a chance.

I agree in regard to Meatball too. Anyways, time to embrace another rebuild everyone...maybe we can start playing another set of kids from next week, finals for Roo's 50th!SuperSaint wrote:Great minds think alike.degruch wrote:Oh god, don't say it...I was thinking just the same thing at the Melbourne game. First quarter winners we are. And Roo kicks a goal. Pity our other forwards are useless.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Well, the reigning premiers lost to the bottom side last night, maybe we should sit back and enjoy the inevitable arm wrestle between our finals hopefuls and wooden spoon custodians?

Acres should never be dropped again. Physically, he has some much going for him already. He's one of the few that has presence in our side.

5:12 since quarter time. Have only won 1st quarters so far. Our structure is terrible.

Re: Match thread v Lions
We got a bit of momentum back at the end. They may tire being young. But we can't let the get momentum early this qtr. rely so much on roo. Too much.
