what, Lonie is still in? Sinclair for me. Lonie has been very unimpressive so far this year.

Good team. Wouldn't have wanted too many dropped, without first being given the chance to show that that third quarter last week was an anomaly.

However, I would have left Paddy out.
- Last week showed we need more blokes who can run.
- His form and fitness don't fully warrant selection IMHO.
- But my biggest issue is that I reckon Subi is the worst (= longest) ground to be playing Paddy on.

We'll still win though. The E-girls will still be feeling queasy after drinking all their own bath water. Hope Paddy kicks a few six pointers too. 8-)

Lonie's just keeping the seat warm for Long I suspect.

Sinclair may travel as the 23rd man and may even be a late change.
I think Lonnie has kept his place as a small forward and Gresham may spend more time in the midfield.

Gilbo NO and Lonie should not be in there, Coke players are too strong and he doesn't have Gresh's evasion to avoid getting crunched.
Expect to see him only getting 40% game time; he will be lying down getting his bruises worked on.
I predict he will get corked before half-time and struggle after.

Sinclair deserves a gig.
Paddy - not sure, but geezus he will struggle against the Wet Coke defenders...
Hope I'm wrong.
Again, the return plane fare is about $500, why spend it on Gilbo, seriously.

Good team, really happy with it!! Where has this Lonie negativity come from?? I can't believe it! He had 15 posi's and kicked 1:1. That nearly twice the no pf posi's that wright got!! Lonie is a ripper, a real team man and I think he'll be our small forward for our next premiership tilt! Plus he does well when going thru the midfield!

Ok, now try for some positives! Acres got picked when you were adamant he wouldn't play til round 5-6, that must make you happy right?

hard first run for paddy, but he needs the run for next weeks power display against brisbane. wright out ahead of lonie is fair based on last week. the disquietude over the dunstan, ross, and armo combo is alleviated somewhat, with the latters injury. and given what we saw last week, there was no justification for holding acres out again. Happy with the team. Hope all is well with Dempster and we see him soon.

I am thrilled, happy, ecstatic, overjoyed, overwhelmed, euphoric :D
delighted I was proven wrong that Acres has been selected 3 games before my dire prediction!
Delighted, I say!
Oh wait...what about if Blake is a late withdrawal on game day, replaced by Sinclair...(no, couldn't happen)

Lonie...Does not deserve this game.
I would play Sinclair ahead of him as he has more versatility.
I would play Dmac ahead of him this week on that ground and he has more versatility.

I'm clutching at straws here... but if ever Paddy was finally going to have that break out game and kick eight....

I am also concerned about our fitness after last weeks pathetic capitulation. If we are to win this game we must move that ball as quickly as possible at all costs.

Either win or go down swinging. If they just stop chasing like they did last week you have to question what the hell is going on.

Paddy to kick 8...I think your doing a little more than clutching at straws.....Lonie has to improve by 10% and he will be good, got to give the kid games he has potential..We ain't going to win the flag ..I think some of us have forgotten that..Still an experimental year.

Agree with above.
I think the coach knows he can easily drop Lonie when Long comes in.
Doesnt want to risk Minch or Sincs in case they actually play well.
The coach plays favourites.

Agreed, and just read was ninth past round for competition wide pressure points, which is obviously valued highly internally. There is a lot of upside with Lonie, he is incredibly smart with ball in hand, and hopefully as the pressure goes up he can become even more composed.
