I was wondering what the deal is with the Moorabbin Social Club? I had heard this would be rebuilt as part of the Moorabbin redevelopment, but I thought they just started demolishing?

Yes, I must say I am very entrigued by the article. With demolition under way of all the buildings, maybe they'll park a large caravan or two on the oval for supporters to enjoy.
Would be nice for the Club to tell us what it's all about.

I would guess that is because it is not just for St Kilda Football Social Club Members, and indeed from the wording one does not even have to be a St Kilda FC Member.
ie ""The Moorabbin Social Club will host Saints' fans from far and wide. You don’t need to be a member to enjoy the new facility – if you have a love for the red, white and black then we want you there!""
