Re: Match Thread v Swans JLT Round 3
Hanging in there despite Swans taking it up a notch. Missed some opportunities. Our tacking is pretty fierce. Lack some skill with the ball. Billings needs to get more of it. McCartin needs to impose himself. Acres would be handy with his run and strength. Is Stevens playing, haven't seen him? We're matching them pretty well at the contested ball but lack the class on the outside to use it well. Looks a bit wet out there.

Just lacking a bit of polish. Scores could easily be level or so. Perfect hit out just before Round 1 though... should steel them up nicely.

If Lonie is on, does that mean someone is injured? I thought they were going to hold back two players unless required.shrodes wrote:Lonie only on late in the second, Koby hasn't been on yet I don't think

Already tired of seeing Swans players just dropping the ball in a tackle and not being pinged.

It may have just been when Gresh / Paddy collided (both seem fine). I haven't seen any injuries, Dunstan copped a hip corky late and will be sore tomorrow but should run it out.kosifantutti wrote:If Lonie is on, does that mean someone is injured? Brown worries me. He looks really slow to me. Carlisle looks like he's starting to find his rhythm a bit. Roberton doing well but then messed up at the end. Gilbo doing ok without being hugely influential - the wet doesn't suit him. Savage I thought was landing his kicks well. WEbster doing ok. Rooey playing his wing role well. GResham does things so classy but struggling to get a lot of it. Bruce has missed chances. Membrey working hard but without much reward. Steven doing ok but they are keeping him closely marked. Newnes playing well. Ross doing ok but not damagin. Its pretty even for us all over the field without anyone really dominating - maybe Steele probably the best.

Have never seen a side get run down more and not dispose of the ball correctly than the Swans last year at Ethiad and tonight.
Yet they don't get pinged.

He's a hard nugget too, the umpire must be pretty jacked. Armo back to best??
Match centre
David Armitage averaged 21.7 disposals per game last season for St Kilda, well down on his career-best of 28.4 in 2015. So far today he has 14 disposals at 86 per cent efficiency, and has laid four tackles.

Sydney player putts two hands in Wright's back and shoves. No free. Sydney go on to score a goal. Nothing changes with the umpiring.

Great qtr saints. Hard working to get back into it. The big forward units started working a lot harder.
