RSEA Park saintsational contribution ?

Post: # 1653315Post howlinwolf »

Hi Sainters !
It's been a while since I've posted. Had a lot going on.

The public unveiling of our long awaited return to Moorabbin is here. It is an important part of our future development.

We are still a big chunk of money short ( 2.6 mill) and I'm not certain what we can do to raise this.

I think we could possibly try and raise some as donations on behalf of saintsational and I'm prepared to get the ball rolling with $100.
Maybe Bigfooty could do the same ?

Not a lot in the big picture but everything helps.

Any ideas ?

If you donate directly, it's tax deductible. Over 500 and the players will wear your name on their jumper for 1 game. Over 1500 and you get your name on a wall at Moorabbin (as well as on the jumper).

My son's school just did a huge redevelopment and they sold commemorative pavers (with a name engraved) for 250 each.

Good idea HW.

Maybe there is some way that a number of us can contribute and get individual tax receipts but get Saintsational.com acknowledged if we were to raise more than $500 / $1500.

The sponsorship guy sent me an email today as part of the Brandon White sponsorship. I can run this past him and see what he has to say.

Does 10 grand get you a game?

Doing the maths, all we need is 24,000 people to donate 100 bucks. When you think about it in those terms it seems fairly achievable given we have over 30,000 members.

Some good thoughts here people.

The tax deductible aspect is definitley worth considering as some might choose to increase the donation they can afford.

Premium89 your thoughts were exactly what I was thinking initially. If half the members could donate something it would make a huge difference.
It's not always easy asking from those that have already given though.

Need someone like Norwood has in Adelaide with the re-development of Norwood Oval where there are numerous parties involved being government, the Council and the Club.

Wolf Blass is donating $1- for $1- for every supporter contribution made to the Club.

I think I read somewhere that the figure was over $500,000- and still going.

Between Country Racing in SA and the NFC, Wolf does a great job!

Funny you say that, 10 large was amount I'm considering. I reckon they should have a level for that amount. Not sure what is
appropriate. Given it's a tax deduction makes it more enticing. Good timing as the super rules are changing and some people will need to move their money around soon.

Is there a cut off date for donations?

Yeah fair enough - but I guess we shouldn't feel too bad if we can only spare a small amount!
