Just out of interest, does this characterisation seem any less time wasting for those who've watched the TV show it's derived from?

His first post was mildly amusing. It's been downhill since then.

Hickey did not do any running at training today... but competed in the ruck in midfield drills

Nor did Paddy

Training was very light, and just some game sense stuff.

Very apparent what positions the club sees the players playing.

The backs
Deep - Dempster, Gilbert, Carlisle, Joyce, Brown, Geary, Rice, Coughlin
Shallow - Savage, McKenzie, Webster (new?), Roberton, Montagna, Connellan

Mids
Dunstan, Ross, Newnes, Gresham, Acres, Steven, Stevens, Phillips (a beauty),

Forward
High - Weller, Steele, Membrey,
Smalls - Minchington, Long, Wright, Lonie, Sinclair, O'Kearney
Deep - Bruce, McCartin, Battle, Marshall

Did not see
Armo, Riewoldt, Freeman, Billings, Goddard, White

Training was again in blustery conditions

Worked on structures in their groups and looked pretty good

Thanks BM. When you say Phillips is a beauty and obviously you've watched him train, what makes him stand out for you?

Some players just belong... he is one of those

Some players just look comfortable at that level of training ... he is smooth, clean and runs to the right spots instinctively. Only thing that needs to be tested now is whether or not he likes the physical stuff... if he ticks that box.

I'd put him down for 150+ At about a Newnes level I reckon

He can play footy, and will be a late developer... 19-21yo... unlike a Clayton Oliver/Luke Dunstan type who are ready at 18/19.

DMac

Is the one for me, he will be the big break out in 2017/18

JB, Acres and Paddy will inevitably find another level

Daniel will jump 2 levels imo

Ed will be very unlikely to see senior action for a while... but when Joey, Rooney and Gilbo go... spots are there on the outside

I Would bet on Ed over Freeman from observation

Apart from Rooney.

Who the hell is Rooney??

And yes, if it were a poor session, I'd have reported that and got the typical treatment

It was short, structure oriented and I love that stuff. Players were directing each other, and it was all game sim.

Just getting ready for tomorrow

Must say, Carlisle looked to be moving well and is quality.

Gresham, Dunstan and Acres were dominating the midfield stoppages

Long is quick as a small fwd

Cheers! I'm sure that most of us appreciate that you and some of the other guys take the time to post training summaries for those of us who can't get there.

All out there this morning. Even Joey was going ful bore, but I doubt he will be risked. Tom will get the nod this week, and it's likely the game may be won or lost on that match up.
