Rob Eddy had pretty epic intensity too.

Oh yeh. He had a ton of ability, that is why the scumbags used to focus on him.

Me too. Possibly was the most wasted talent at the saints, ever. We have quite a few contenders in that category.saynta wrote:I loved Robbie.White Winmar wrote:Robert Muir for intensity?
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Yep, through injuries mainly but there were others.
Re: Training Wednesday
You could even put Tony Lockett in that category
From his Brownlow year at 21yo
Until his departure as a 28yo he only played 1 complete season (1992)
Although he did kick 127 goals in 17 games in 1991
But
88, 89, 90, 93 & 94
He spent 50% of the time on the sidelines... Through injury or suspension

Re: Training Wednesday
Just image a reasonably injury/suspension free and disciplined T.Lockett would have achieved ... we did not have the leadership or culture to support him... imagine what a David Parkin/Allan Jeans/L.Matthews would have done with him.
His attitude was twice as good in Sydney, pretty sure he never even suspended in Sydney and only had 1 of 5 seasons interrupted with a groin injury.
He kicked 3 x 100+ in Sydney in 5 seasons... and 80+ in another (his final) season at 33yo
He kicked only 3 x 100+ at StK in 12 seasons where he was in his prime

You might need to use crayon and butcher paper to explain this to Wayne.
