I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Re: Training
Really love the way our training is using a football and matchplay!!
Many teams spend too much time running boxing and weights and doing other things like bricks in a backpack and walking to stkilda LOL. Seems we are all about football use this preseason.
Yes every team does this but not as much as we are. We are doing matchplay and ball skills everyday all day.

Re: Training
Image from training says it all really.
So how many comments on here are now redundant in regards Freeman, his management, his value to St Kilda to whom he has committed and his state of mind?
As I ventured to say, so many "experts", so little knowledge.

At this stage his 'value' is the same as any draftee yet to debut.

Re: Training
Don't reckon it'll be Lewis Pierce to be traded or de-listed, based on currrent circumstances. Last July he was given an extension until end 2019, so they must see something in him. Another poster on here, with some in depth understanding of ruck craft, reckons Pierce will be better than Hickey. Hickey is 3 years 8 months older than Pierce, so time will tell, but the club has been willing in invest in him long term.mad saint guy wrote: Absolutely. At the beginning of most seasons in recent memory it was easy to pick a few players who were obvious candidates for delisting and a few more who would get the chop unless they showed unexpected improvement. This year the only guy who you could fairly confidently say won't be playing on in 2018 is Dempster. Wright and Minchington both would have been under a lot of pressure though they signed 2-year deals near the end of last year. Lewis Pierce has been developing steadily and offers a degree of flexibility and skill that Longer and Holmes don't. I do expect one of our rucks to go at the end of this year, whether that is Longer or Pierce via trade or Holmes by delisting.
Poor seasons from Rice, Gilbert, Sinclair and Lonie would see them all under pressure but things would have to be pretty bad for them to be delisted. I suppose Wright and Minch could both be paid out if they are nowhere near our best team by the end of the season as well. Wouldn't surprise me to see some players traded out either; our improved depth will mean that some decent players will struggle for opportunity/tear it up in the VFL and attract interest from other clubs.
Agree another poor season from Sinclair or Lonie could see them under pressure. Also agree that it's likely trading at year's end will include currently listed players being traded out along with a draft pick.....i.e First rounder + player and possible pick exchange for quality out of contract mid.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Training
Anyway the Saints have found a way around Freeman having dodgey hammies.
Weller has been teaching him Transcendental Meditation Skills and Freeman can now levitate...so he can just float around the ground now.
So latest reports on Freeman at training is the guy now is literally flying...
The pick bellow shows him deep in Stkilda Chant Om Mavi Paddy Hum

Re: Training
He's doing well compared to Lovett, who costed us pick 16 and didn't even last a pre season.
He's nearly as good as Fergus Watts who we traded pick 17 for (played 1 game for us)
Barry Brookes cost us pick 6 AND pick 31 for a massive 8 games.
