Can anyone confirm/deny that Roo wanted to give up the captaincy?

Tony74 said after the end of last season that Roo chose to give it up at least partly in the interest of prolonging his career.

He's also got 2 kids that are 3 & under... they're his first priority. As good a time as any to hand the reins over.

Apparently Armo has been campaigning by saying he will deport all the Irish and NZ players from the club and build a wall around Linen House Centre. And his hair is looking really weird.
