Re: Jaxons come on down
GWS has traded out more players than any other club in recent times, have a look at Carlscum, they are the GWS seconds.
They are a list feeder for other clubs, i have NO issue with their situation, i often have an issue with our situation, however, i
think we have some very good operators at the Saints at the moment, even if we did grab a smokie with our 1st pick in the draft.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Jaxons come on down
They trade brilliantly, consistently shuffling players out who aren't best 22, attacking high-end talent and then accumulating loads of picks to build points on their academy.Con Gorozidis wrote:They are going to be might hard to catch up with unless a few clubs can start raiding their players a little more.Bernard Shakey wrote:Trading!SaintPav wrote:It's f***ed.Con Gorozidis wrote:GWS finished 3rd but got 4 picks in the top 20.
Think about that for a moment.
Can someone explain it
We should go all out next year for Shiel or Kelly to even things up.
Their strategy has been first class, especially considering the two Queensland clubs get similar concessions.
Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

well... the queensland clubs dont have AFL dominated regions in their zonesevertonfc wrote:They trade brilliantly, consistently shuffling players out who aren't best 22, attacking high-end talent and then accumulating loads of picks to build points on their academy.Con Gorozidis wrote:They are going to be might hard to catch up with unless a few clubs can start raiding their players a little more.Bernard Shakey wrote:Trading!SaintPav wrote:It's f***ed.Con Gorozidis wrote:GWS finished 3rd but got 4 picks in the top 20.

And the GWS got more draft picks in their establishment than GCS, but also could learn from any mistakes GCS made
So... with a beneficial hand one can say they have drafted and traded well.. but when you check their use of high draft picks their record is not all that good

Well, another good draft, Gippy Power, only one selection, and a stand out, maybe they have a coaching problem and some of the wrong kids were promoted and put forward, Leigh Brown = Dud Coach, maybe!!!!

They went and did it again.ace wrote:How did Hawthorn get away with giving their 2017 second rounder to Gold Coast instead of that from GWS via Carlton.
From AFL Indicative Draft
"If a club trades a future first-round selection, it may not trade any other future selections from the same draft. However if a club retains its future first-round selection, it can trade multiple future selections from other rounds."
Is it like playing a match, there are rules but they are not enforced.
This is what the AFL allowed GWS to do.
First at trade 33 they allowed GWS to trade away their own 2017 first and 2017 third round picks - this was the Delidio deal with Richmond.
Then at trade 34 they allowed GWS to trade away their own 2017 second round pick after already trading out their own 2017 first round pick - this was part of the Marchbank deal with Carlton.

Did I mention that the AFL IS CORRUPT

They even got the AFL to break the rules to allow them to trade in Delidio.

Stevens was eventually swapped for a clutch of late draft picks, but he says the last-gasp trade was just the final drama of one of his toughest years.
“It was pretty stressful. The Dogs and St Kilda had agreed on a deal the day before, but it fell through. I messaged my manager Ned Guy with 20 minutes to go and he said, ‘We are struggling’,’’ Stevens told the Sunday Herald Sun

hilarious Saynta... Jaxons just provided some evidence that he has inside information, having accurately posted about a snag that hit the negotiations that only someone with inside knowledge would know. He also said at the time that the deal would get done one way or another... You simply ignore this evidence with your reactions... chosing to only focus on the whether the deal would get done or not.... and ignoring the inside information about the complication that was confirmed by Stenes himselfsaynta wrote:All I said was the deal would get done.mad saint guy wrote:Jaxons said deal hit a snag. chosing to ignore evidence that goes against your own opinion is fine.... many people do it... just dont expect the rest of us to agree with your opinion in such a case...
This debate over whether Jaxons has inside information was well and truly setteled long ago by a pile of evidence... Next draft period, I hope the mods will open two threads, one where Jaxons and others can post and discuss, and a seperate one for Jaxons skeptics to discuss their consiparcy theories.. maybe an "is Jaxons legit thread" where discontents can vent, as much as they like, because they have every right to do that, whilst the rest of us can discuss trades and drafting in peace on another thread, where we appreciate an insider coming online to post information
