You forgot they can Steele themselves for a Savage Long Battle.

Roo is 193, 192 isn't the same as 193.
FWIW. Battle says in his video clip on the saints website, "I like to play as a third up forward and with my 193 cm it's a hard match up" , or words to that effect . So I'll take his word on it I think. 193 it is
And the president said " I did not have sex with that woman"
And our former president said " Football is like golf"

A few interesting stats to do with the Combine testing:
- he finished last in the 2 footed jump - yep LAST
- he was in the bottom 7% and 11% in the two running jump tests
- he finished last in the 30m repeat sprint with a really ordinary 27 second time - yep LAST
So athletically he is not gifted except for his endurance - runs a good 3km.
Doesn't mean he can't make it but he is not agile and his size has helped him do OK at under 18 level. Maybe he has the smarts to overcome his physical shortcomings. Others have managed to do this.
All things he can work on.
He is the most natural footballer in the draft. Cant teach that. His body work is brilliant. His kicking is elite. His football brain is eite. His ATTITUDE and psychology is elite.
So what he needs to work on jumping etc ever considered its rhe growing pains/puppy fat holding him back? That he had flu? Sore ankles?
We got an absolute steal. He'll end up top ten from this draft.

Thanks for this! I read it earlier elsewhere and found it really interesting and a little concerning!
Haha at first I was like, chuck him into the midfield but surely not after that. See how he goes but clearly these are the limitations clubs passed on.
"Any candidate for political office, once chosen for leadership, must have the will to take the wheel of a very powerful car, tasked from time to time to make a fast journey down a narrow, precipitous mountain road – and be highly skilled at driving. Otherwise, he is disqualified from the company of competent leaders."

Unfortunately I have heard a rumour that the AFL are investigating the Saints for a potential salary cap scandal.
Alarm bells went off at AFL HQ when we upgraded Holmes to the senior list.
It seems the reason the club did this was so they could offer players a cheap (free) house and land package outside of the salary cap.
Initially the club thought Acres of land alone would be enough but some of the players and their managers insisted on having Holmes as well.
AVJennings or Mirvac were apparently lining up to sponsor us as part of this arrangement.
I am surprised IanRush isnt investigating this one.

Is that true, that he is considered the most natural footballer in the draft?

To me he seems like a bit of a FIGJAM from that, but of course attitude can change as the young guys mature and being around leaders like Roo sure would help.
