Phantom drafts don't always turn out the same way as the real thing.
However I agree it's a big if he gets past Nth.
If he does though he could get very close to us.
Understood. It is something I have been thinking about doing some statistical analysis on actually.
Looking back over the past few years - Callum Twomey has been very close in his top 15-20 phantom's to actual draft outcomes.
After pick 15 or so he tends to be a off though as do most of them.
Here is another phantom draft that has him getting very close to us.
Don't know much about these guys but it seems that Sam Picked a Pickled Pepper Powell will be thereabouts at our pick.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
All I know is that our recruiting team will say that they can't believe the player we get got to our pick as he was always going to be the guy we would have taken with pick 10 (f we still had it).
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Let's hope so
His intensity looks good, but disposal not so much. Hopefully he's the right choice if we choose him.
Don't think the poor disposal will put Richo off - thats not his highest priority. Sam looks pretty exciting. Bustling and brutal inside with good size, but can work it on the outside with some strength and dash. Can do the don't argue beautifully. Is kind of like Dusty without the elite distribution which is a bit of bummer. IF they have worries about Armo physically, then SPP isn't a bad pickup at pick 25 to add genuine grunt and some exciting burst style footy.
Listening to him talking there seems a real "mongrel/rough" element to him with the haircut. Maybe even a "d**khead-Martin" factor with him. But if they keep him from exploding in public, maybe we need more of that, more unsociable footballers who will really fly the flag and be genuinely feared on the footy field.
I hope we also look at Bolton .. is a line-breaker, has plenty of time, holds the ball - is like a Dal Santo with speed.
He is under 70 kgs - which is a good weight for a slippery-eel.
Haven't had a chance to look at who might slip through the net to the Saints... Really looking forward to tonight/tomorrow so I can read up on their bio's etc.
I just hope we don't concentrate on yet more defenders - we can leave that for next year, if we really must - this year's draft is all about midfielders.
Besides there's Carlisle, Goddard, Brown to come in - and Coughlan? We're chockers.
... and we need midfielders with outside run ..... line-breakers.
Cmon Jaxons who are we aiming for. Let the cat out of the bag!

Think about that for a moment.
It's f***ed.
Can someone explain it
Trading!
It certainly isnt from trading because they traded OUT 7, 3 and 16 for pick 2.
They also got Deledio in. They lost Treloar of course last year which helped them this year.
So they traded Out more top 20s than they got in during trade period.
Yet still ended up with 4 x top 20 picks + Deledio.
After finishing 3rd.
They are going to be might hard to catch up with unless a few clubs can start raiding their players a little more.
We should go all out next year for Shiel or Kelly to even things up.
