The Brown info was just my guess. We were after a tall back.
My info on Jack Steele was always spot on and was what he was saying at the time,.
A member of my family is mates with him.
A little bit of time frame that may help this discussion re Jack Steele. Hope saynta doesn't mind me giving this - but I do like to assist him when people love to have shots at him, needlessly and have only picked out one post, and not others that provide a more rounded discussion of who posted what & when
A couple of months back saynta & I were having a PM discussion - nothing relating to football at all. It was about a mutual acquaintance .
This PM was on 14 August.
In this PM, saynta happened to also mention a family member of his was trying to persuade his mate from GWS to transfer to the Saints. That player was a Jack Steele, whom I had never heard of. But he said, at that time Steele wanted to go to the Tigers.
On 21 September I had a PM from saynta telling me that Richmond were now out of the picture and it looked like Steele would be coming to the Saints unless something goes wrong.
So believe me or not, but saynta has been all over Jack Steele's thoughts on transfers for a few months.......... before most of us had even heard of Jack Steele as he'd become another forgotten Swan playing in their seconds.
And no, I won't post saynta's PM's up as evidence.
