In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Whoever it is, he will be on the big stage holding a cup in 2018 with AR

Seriously though we are spoilt for choice.
Armo, Steven, Geary, Newnes, Weller and Ross could all do the job imo.

I'll narrow that down to Armo, Steven and Geary for you.Con Gorozidis wrote:Goose is king wrote:Rocky is available

Geary or Steven

Re: Next captain of StKilda
don't think Steven is captain material. Geary certainly is. Newnes, but the question mark is enough time on the park each and every game. Also like Dunstan, but too soon. Still think Roo should captain and appoint a deputy for this year.

Re: Next captain of StKilda
Share the load and rotate the captaincy and why not have dual captains for the next few years? Doesn't that provide leadership opportunities while keeping a sense of team?Con Gorozidis wrote:Goose is king wrote:Rocky is available

Gears and Steven next year. Armo and Newnes the year after. Ross and Weller after that
Why do you need to stick to tradition? Why restrict flexibility and open your club up to criticism and open the team up to unrest? I think having a plan to change leaders helps the individual players to grow but keeps their egos in check. Depending on their results and player feedback you'd assess and make changes for potential captains in the years that follow
Re: Next captain of StKilda
Mav Weller for me. Plays with heart. Finds another gear. Puts his body on the line. And is still improving and coming into the peak of his career.
