Looks like Handley to GC without Hawks involved, but PA instead. Have to wonder about the JOM deal now....

Cause we have placed ourselves for a bigfish with our trade strategy, that's obvious for all to see, it's either this week or next year, so who is it? Come On Jax!!!!!
Nat's not off our radar mate, despite others posting to the contrary.

Re: Jaxons come on down
Especially this bit.
"In addition to the big player moves by the Hawks, they also last week gave St Kilda two second-round picks (23 and 36) in this year’s draft and their first selection in the 2017 draft.
The Saints coughed up picks 10 and 68 in the upcoming national draft in a trade that bamboozled most football experts.
“I think a lot of other clubs are sitting there thinking, what the hell are they doing and what do they have up their sleeve?” explained Anderson.
“When that deal got done the other day with St Kilda, the swap of picks – I spoke to a couple of other clubs over the weekend and they just scratched their heads.
“They just thought it was one of the great lootings of all time (from St Kilda’s perspective).
“St Kilda can’t lose out of that deal and it gives them some ammunition to trade back up this year or hold onto it next year..........”

Good Luck Ameet
While we're on this topic I have to say the typical Spring Carnival race pales in comparison to the manoeuvering and antics of equestrian sport (especially the recent Olympics version) and there's more, cricket is a blight on summer! But each to their own in the spirit of democracy. Just remembered Rugby - Yikes ! Definately prefer soccer to the last two.White Winmar wrote:Patience, grasshopper. Even if Ameet and trout themselves were posting on here, they'd get more calls wrong, than right. IIRC, Bevo used to have a list of 60 or more names of players from other clubs on the whiteboard that would be up for discussion and possible trade, and that was before the variable of free trade came in. There are many more discussions that go nowhere, than come to fruition. I've seen deals scuttled at the 11 th hour that looked like certainties. It's not hard to look like you're going too early and as Jaxons appears to be ITK, it's better to take a slightly more conservative route with predictions. Speculation is great for creating interest around this board, when let's face it, there's bugger all else to talk about. Don't get me started about having to endure the Spring Carnival, or crowd misbehaviour ball, otherwise known as soccer. Booooring..........stonecold wrote:Why have all the so-called ITK's disappeared at such an important time?????
Makes me wonder?????
Just as well we have the Saints to keep us all somewhat united.
Re: Jaxons come on down
There is no way on Earth that'd we'd trade for Fyfe this year, We just dont have the currency. Do the mathstonecold wrote:Yes, I know!!!!!saynta wrote:stonecold wrote:So Jax, you say, no Nat, this year or next, so who is our new big fish then?????

Bains said on SEN today that our interest in Fyfe is overstated.
If you go to any opposition forum, they all think they should trade for Fyfe.
jaxons has already said we're not trading for Fyfe, he's also mentioned who were more interested in. Sometimes you need to read earlier posts not just the last page.
No itk on any forums has suggested we'll trade for Fyfe this year or next.
For us to trade for Fyfe in any year goes against our current list strategy.
12 months in football is a LONG time as far as list management goes, anything could happen. How did JOM pan out? How is JOM still panning out.

Re: Jaxons come on down
Xavier Richards wants a trade from Sydney.
"unable to come to terms with the club on a new contract".
No doubt Sydney will once again lie and say it has nothing to do with the ridiculous salaries of Buddy Franklin and Kurt Tippett.
Simply a case of not wanting to work for peanuts on offer because so much of the clubs salary cap is locked up in Franklin's and Tippett's contracts.

How bad can he be though..!?
That's a seriously good deal... Seriously good and he's an excellent prospect at that.
Not injury prone... consistently good, no off-field discretions that i can remember making headlines. He obviously has to be a hard worker to be that good
Surely you could turn him around... and if not, all it cost was a second rounder
