How do journalists get away with this level of inaccurate reporting? Don't they have editors to hold them accountable?derby Street wrote:Well the Adelaide Advertiser has the Saints & the Hawks swapping Pick 10 for the Hawks first round in 2017. They must think we are stupid. I suppose they only worry about the Cows and the Powerless ones.

It'll be tougher to get him when freo can match any contract we offer. They've cleared their bank.saintsRrising wrote:If so then it will be as a FA and not as a trade. why would you trade when you can get him for nothing, and moreso when any trade cost would be huge?samuraisaint wrote:Hmmm. trading for a first round draft pick next year. Reckon this time next year, Fyfe will be wearing a St. Kilda jumper.
Next year we need to land an elite FA, whether it be Fyfe, Dusty or the like.

Fox sports see us as the big winners here
THE Saints have done most of their work already and profited very handily from it.
The deal with Hawthorn which saw St Kilda send out Pick 10 for two second-round picks and the Hawks’ 2017 first-rounder is a complete win in terms of draft assets even if next year’s pick ends up at the back of the round.
Hard nut midfielder Jack Steele will also be an excellent inclusion for the Saints at the cost of next year’s second round pick, which ideally for St Kilda will be in the late twenties. He will slot straight into the team’s best 22.
Bulldog Koby Stevens has requested a trade to the club and will provide much-needed midfield depth at a price that, while yet to be agreed upon, will be low.
With plenty of ruck depth at the Saints, some clubs have inquired about Billy Longer, but he appears unlikely to depart.
