We need to trade cash to the AFL, or more specifically, the umpiring department, if today is anything to go by. Give them pick 10, next years first and the Panther. It just may get us a flag.

I would agree that the umpiring today was inconsistent at best - and generally favored the WB.
As it very significantly favored the WB v GWS,
Particularly today there was no consistency with the time afforded to off load the ball once tackled, with one sudden death call giving the WB a goal.
The WB first goal after a Grundy handball with the recipient immediately tackled whilst standing was not replicated for later similar incidents going the other way.
Clarkson lamented the absence of HTB in over 100 tackles and again today a tackle forcing the ball free was generally not paid to Sydney's disadvantage - the disposal once tackled is either correct or not but no call was made.

Anyone can say any trade Rumours doesn't mean it'll happen.
St.Kilda will probably get Steele but wouldn't be a certainty atm.
some of us appreciate Jaxon's comments here, he/she clearly has better saints info than anyone else on any internet forum and better info than the media tweeters.
So, if you dont want to read the Jaxons thread or have an issue with it.. it is simple.. dont click on it!
The rest of us just dont care for your thoughts on the topic

Agree, NRL junkies have no merit on an AFL club forum.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

As I say, inconsistent at best - but typical.
Not the right thread by 100% agree with what you say.
The one common denominator in both of those clashes was a dominant and very vocal crowd. Umpires terribly incompetent to be influenced like that and they were meant to be the best three.
Strength through Loyalty
Go those mighty Sainters!!
Cathal was picked up the Saints in the 2005 Rookie Draft (and turfed a year later).

That is a very tenuous family link and not sure what element would rate as "reuniting".
Brian had mentioned this before, so just floating that two bits of intel might have been the same morsel - but yes, it's certainly tenuous and "reuniting" seemed to be a key to that bit of intel.
I feel very confident we will get Steele.
Longer's mgr was on sen trade radio and said Longer would be staying a Saint so who knows.
Someone like Corr would be handy although he seems very similar to Roberton.
But
Corr Carlisle Geary
McKenzie Roberton Webster
To me looks like a potential GF winning defence.

Quite right Jaxons - no mention from you about Weds last week - it was in a post by SaintsRising (above).
Thanks for posting - I can't believe the amount of crap some people have thrown at you at times.
Let's hope for a great trade period.
Go Saints!

Agree. In any case that post was just saying Jack S would be telling his mgt what he thinks after Mad Tuesday. It was never saying we would have a definitive deal in place last Wednesday.
Early days.
Jaxons is the king imo. Love his willingness to share with us. Makes this forum a must read.
