Fyfe is worth two x top 5 picks on his own.
Weller is worth around a pick ~10 - similar to Billings.
So essentially MG is saying pick 10 for Fyfe which is dead set laughable.
PS I love MG& SMS and their trade knowledge is generally top notch but this is just really pie in the sky. A long way off reality.
Ps I was having a bit of a laugh & humouring SMS, I realise my trade suggestion was s*** house!

Hey Jaxons only Billings and Longer mentioned here so you've potted one of them. Billings attitude?

I am all for wild speculation but can we at least keep it vaguely plausible?
Next we will be trading Brodie Murdoch straight swap for Dustin Martin.

Yes. If we get to the end of 2017 and they are still UC we can re-assess. Big 'if' though. That's even funnier than the fantasy!
Correct. I don't think Fyfe will be the same player again, and he is hard work to manage.
I value Longer above Hickey, especially as he matures as a ruckman and person. Billings will be 250 game player and a gun.
I agree the trade is a fantasy, just someone craving attention.

Re: Jaxons come on down
Knowing Ross this is what Freo would expect in return for both of these players and I am living in the real world.
Weller - Either a top 8 pick or a straight player swap of P Mccarten - this is not going to happen.
Fyfe - 2 x top 12 picks plus a player such as Blake Acres - also not going to happen.
So collectively we could get Fyfe and Weller but cost would be Mccarten and Acres plus 2 first round draft picks.
None of this post is real and would be agreed on by us or has been discussed and it will never happen period.
Weller - Either a top 8 pick or a straight player swap of P Mccarten - this is not going to happen.

Don't want to get into the Hickey Longer debate, but potential is the operative word - and I think both Longer & Billings have a huge upside.jaxons wrote:Hickey miles in front of Longer both on and off the field.takeaway wrote:jaxons wrote:Let me get this straight takeaway you wouldn't do this 'fantasy' trade?takeaway wrote:Fyfe post injury, Weller, for Longer, Billings & Eli??? Re: Jaxons come on down
Fyfe is out of contract. Has no obligation to fremantle. Thats the last ill add. I expect huge apologies when this eventuates.
Fyfe wants to be a star as in afl in melbourne star.
He and freo have fallen out. He dont care what they get in return.
See you in a month

I'll give you some cred with regards to Eli & Longer. Both are very good chances to be traded....just not involved in your Fyfe scenario.

Re: Jaxons come on down
I find this comment about Billings very disturbing. Obviously you know more than any on here, but he looked fantastic in his first year and has injury troubles the last two years. So we shouldn't be expecting a breakout year when he gets fully fit?jaxons wrote:Hickey miles in front of Longer both on and off the field.

Longer needs to get off the darts and become a professional footballer if he wants to be as good as Hickey....I am assuming he will be traded...are you softening us up for a Billings trade Jaxons?

Re: Jaxons come on down
We can't lure Laverde or Marchbank - or Steele it now seems. Yet somehow Fyfe, arguable the best player in the comp, is going to want to come to St Kilda. I reckon we could offer 1.5 million a year and he still wouldn't come.
There is always going to be the odd exception- like Carlisle - but 19 times out of 20, an established player is not going to choose St Kilda until we have sustained success .
