Good Riddance to the Kray Brothers!
Our good friend Enrico Misso referred to Chris and Brad Scott as the Kray Brothers in a post a few years ago after both North and Geelong got knocked out of the finals. I thought it was the perfect nickname for them.
It's hard to forget that they were two of the biggest mongrel dogs to play the game in the last twenty years. Never were they held accountable for the injuries to Lenny and Roo. It's good to see both of their finals campaigns this year being shot down in flames

Despite considerable reflection I can't decide which of them is the surliest prick.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Never been too fussed about the Roo incident but I'll never forgive what one of them did to Lenny. As they're interchangeable scumbags I blame them both.

Re: Good Riddance to the Kray Brothers!
I think Brad and the Kangas will surprise the negative nellies next year. He's been in the system long enough now to have learnt from his mistakes and to have had enough experience to understand what he needs to improve the team. Losing some of their old players will be a blessing imo.
I used to feel sorry for Geelong with some of the pain they went through with their GF losses in 89 and in the '90's.
Can't stand them now since that flog Scarlett sledged Banger in the 2008 finals. Later on in that finals series, we saw the smirk wiped off Scarlett's face after the GF. Also funny how their arrogant supporters had plastered posters on shop fronts leading up the GF with the slogan back-to-back. Can't stand Chris Scott. Can't stand their supporters.
Growing up in the '70's and watching the Kangaroos win their first premiership I had a soft spot for them. They were definitely my second team and maybe you lean towards a winner when your mob is a perrenial loser...Anyway loved the battles we had with them in the late '90's and loved our dominance of them in that decade after they lost the duck.
Hope both teams go backwards and we go up the ladder in the next couple of years

Re: Good Riddance to the Kray Brothers!
Not sure Brad will bounce back so quickly, he seemed to follow whatever his brother did at Geelong before him. Norf weren't ready for a tilt they didn't have the top end talent to go for ready mades like Dal I was a little surprised .
I think ( hope?) that they fall over the cliff in a brotherly fashion
I think Brad sooked less than normal so I was dissaponited with his presser. It's usually the highlight of the AFL roundup for me particularly if both teams loose

Re: Good Riddance to the Kray Brothers!
I think the kangas are in for a tough year in 2017. I agree, that losing older players can sometimes be a blessing, but they have relied very heavily on the main five who are going. That's why I think they'll struggle, at least in the short term. Harvey, Petrie, Dal santo, Firrito and Wells. Very little coming through to replace that lot. I still wouldn't be totally shocked if BS ends up at the Lions next year. Like RL with us, he's run his race with NM. They look very similar to us post 2011.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!
