But for a trailer trash druggie, he sure can play.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

no argument about that, just don't want negative off-field influences on our younger group!White Winmar wrote:But for a trailer trash druggie, he sure can play.

Agreed. We've spent a lot of time and effort rehabbing our image and culture. He'd be a risk in the off field regard. No doubt .whiskers3614 wrote:no argument about that, just don't want negative off-field influences on our younger group!White Winmar wrote:But for a trailer trash druggie, he sure can play.

Re: Dustin Martin
The Abbott like behaviour with the woman in the restaurant was enough for me to forever discount him. We as a club have moved well beyond this.

Re: Dustin Martin
Dale Lewis on Triple M Adelaide, said yesterday that apparently the Crows have offered Dustin Martin $6 million over 5 years.
Don't know how true it is though.

Re: Dustin Martin
I'd heard the same rumour, in regards to it being way beyond what we'd offered. Not sure if the source is on the money though....sax wrote:Dale Lewis on Triple M Adelaide, said yesterday that apparently the Crows have offered Dustin Martin $6 million over 5 years.

Re: Dustin Martin
Seems a good fit for Adelaide - they've done pretty well without Danger but if they want to go to another level they probably do need another class mid. I was hoping we might have a go at him FA next year.St Chris wrote:I'd heard the same rumour, in regards to it being way beyond what we'd offered. The Adelaide Crows have not contacted Dustin Martin's management over a potential trade. Will not be pursuing him this year

Re: Dustin Martin
I don't think anyone is pursuing him this year, the interest is in when he becomes a free agent next year.Playon wrote:Sam McClure Verified account

Re: Dustin Martin
Clubs will be weighing up whether he'll be available FA ie will he sign another contract with Richmond. Also if he becomes FA the competition will be fierce - the chance to get a superstar mid without losing any draft picks - some clubs will throw huge cabbage at him. If you really want him and are prepared to give up picks or players you could get him now before you are competing in a crowded market next year.Beno88 wrote:I don't think anyone is pursuing him this year, the interest is in when he becomes a free agent next year.Playon wrote:Sam McClure Verified account

I personally would only go after him FA - I think we're better off using our picks for some talented kids who can have 15 years with us to keep our premiership window open as long as possible
Re: Dustin Martin
I'd take him too but not for 2 first round picks......no way. If he is available at the end of next year as a Free Agent then pounce. If we can't land a FA this year then just go to the draft.Scollop wrote:f*** YEAH!! I'll buy 3 extra memberships if we get him

Re: Dustin Martin
I think this all just smacks of a manager making leaks in order to maximise a players salary to stay.
Of the Tigers better players Martin is the only one young enough to be a core part of rebuild and next gf tilt for them. As such Tigers are ripe to be suckered to overpay to keep him. Hence the likely rumour f the Crows being willing to pay so much and then later rumours of other clubs wanting him too.
Saints and other clubs would be mad not be inteterested but the trade cost for him as contracted player would be huge.
So I doubt that he is gping anywhere in 2016. Most likely will do a deal on hufe coin at the Tigers which will hamstring them going forward. If he does not re sign by start of next season then join the queue of clubs interested to take him as a FA.
