Re: Jaxons come on down
Our club has a history of trading early draft picks for players who havent produced. I cant believe people are happy to trade our 1st round for a 27 yo (Rockliff 800k p/y) who at best will give us 3 solid years.
We are not in the flag window - surely our recruiters arent falling for the same old carrot?

What do you know about a 'Bigger Name Player', we are dealing with at the moment, your office is bigger than mine, so if expect you to know!!!!!
So going on your history, this means that Fyfe/Rockliff or whoever will stay with their club.
Cool.

Re: Jaxons come on down
Hi Jax, thanks for your tidbits! It gives us something to discuss and mull over and a bit of excitement at this team of year. As you can see, I think almost everyone has been quite excepting of the fluid nature of this time of year and have not resorted to directing any frustration solely at yourself. Bravo to the SS team!

Read somewhere that we are interested in Jarryd Lyons, any truth to that rumour?

No one else has come out regarding Laverde except the AFL article...?
Could still be developing or done and dusted. Going against a verbal acceptance is bad business.

Doesnt' get a game even in a team depleted by suspensions.
oh and nine screws and a metal plate in my left shoulder.
Maybe that is why he plays like me.
And we both won't ever be on St Kilda's list

From stavro#4 at BF
I'm going to warn everyone the chances of this happening are less then extremely slim.
But I understand our club has approached Tom Mitchell's management again. I believe he will still be a Swan or go to the Hawks.. But that's what I've heard

Jaxons what is going on with Laverde? There is still nothing official saying he has re-signed. I think we are still in play here.

Whilst I agree it is strange no announcement has been made on laverde I think that iron is no longer in the fire.

Laverde is a typical tweener/flanker who is nothing special... Bit of Markworth about him

Re: Jaxons come on down
He could be the next Markworth, but guys like Fyfe and Goddard were tweeners too. Just because we missed him isn't a reason to convince ourselves he is nothing special - a week after we were convincing ourselves he was the opposite when we were in play.BigMart wrote:Laverde is a typical tweener/flanker who is nothing special... Depends, foot might be shot and not play next year at all, who knows, if that's the case, then I don't believe its a 'very good' result, but a 'fair' result considering the circumstances.Con Gorozidis wrote:If we get him for pick 46 = very good result.Beno88 wrote:I don't know how much credibility this twitter account has, but....
