Shenton tackles the player rugby throws it out play on. These umpires are a joke.

Some huge mistakes today

3 goals from his errors
Ive thought LeGrice has played well under pressure today but yes, a few costly errors. The period after the Noone injury has cost us.

Pity that 2-3 St.kilda listed players who have played well for Sandy all season aren't playing today for whatever stupid reason..

Lee and Shents played well early but when good delivery dropped off they weren't much of a focal point.
Eli seemed to get a bit of it but needs to learn to be dangerous with the ball.
Sinclair was well held early before working into it - always uses it well but didn't get enough to be really damaging.
Longer got us back in it in the third quarter with his rucking but tired and probably needed a chop out.
Rice has been clean but seems to have tired - long season for a first yearer (and had glanduer fever) - got big hopes for Ricey though - looks like a footy player.
Murdoch hasn't done much - looks underdone.
NOK did ok early with some neat stuff but hasn't been involved enough.
Delaney was...well Delaney big and tough but barely touched it.
Saunders has had an indian summer playing pretty well.

Williamstown has kept its season alive with a 46-point win over Sandringham in Saturday's Semi Final match.

The Seagulls have booked a Preliminary Final berth against Casey Scorpions next weekend, with the day of the game to be announced on Sunday night.

Scoring as limited early in the second term, until the game was delayed after a severe injury to Sandringham's Jack Noone, who was stretchered from the field with two breaks in his lower leg. The Seagulls recovered the better from the game delay, to set up their victory with the next five goals of the game.

In the development league Preliminary Final, a Bailey Fritsch goal late regained the lead for Casey Scorpions over Williamstown, to clinch a Grand Final berth against Box Hill Hawks next Saturday.

WILLIAMSTOWN 14.11 (95) d SANDRINGHAM 7.7 (49)

Telling Facts: Williamstown kicked away from Sandringham with four unanswered goals to finish the second term, setting up a 26-point half-time lead. The Seagulls fought back in the third term, cutting the Seagulls 34-point lead back to 16 points at the final change. But a six goal to one final term sealed the win for the 2015 premiers, who are a step closer to returning to grand Final day.

Leading goalkickers: Dunell, Cordy 3 Hetherington, Conway 2 (Williamstown) / Answerth 2 (Sandringham)

In the lead up to the first of those two goals, one of their players was stood up in the tackle and making no effort to get rid of it until the ball spilled out. I think it was the same guy who got the free for a dangerous tackle in the third quarter.

In his final game as coach of Sandringham, Paul Hudson had mixed emotions about the result.

“First quarter was tremendous,” Hudson said.

“We started to run and break lines and we got some goals when the wind was going at way. Then the second quarter we just didn’t capitalise, we didn’t score.”

Hudson, who bows out after two years as the helm, gave 2016 a tick when reflecting on the year that was.

“I’m absolutely stoked to have got to this point.” Hudson said.

“That’s no disrespect to the talent of the people that are playing at all, it’s just that we had more experience last year and probably in a better position to get as close as we did in the prelim.

“So to get one game less than that, I reckon it’s a bloody tremendous result for the people involved.”
