Statue for Linton st !

With the Saints to return to Linton st in 2018 .
Does the club have any plans to honour a favourite son with naming rights and a statue ?
If not , why not ?
If members had a vote , I would pick Lockett , quite simply because he is the greatest footballer I have ever seen .
But there may be someone more deserving that encapsulates the spirit of the club during our years at Moorabbin.

Afterall the Anthony Howard Lockett elite training facility may have people laughing !

Back to Moorabbin it's simple- Plugger. The man owned the ground like no one ever did. Kicked the last goal there,kicked the most there,stood on packs there,arms raised with iconic match winning goals. Just make it already

The more I think about this the more I think the Cowboy should be the statue

He played 108 games at Moorabbin, second only to Barry Breen (128 games), of those 108 -68 were wins!!

His whole career was at Moorabbin, he crashed packs, he lit up the place and we have ALWAYS loved him as a Sainter

FYI Plugger played 62 at Moorabbin (with 35 wins) and 53 at Waverley (and lots at the SCG!!!)

Yes but that was at Victoria Park. This is Moorabbin.

Plugger the best I've seen by a long way and ruled Moorabbin like no one has ruled an AFL ground.

But he left the Saints, so probably not appropriate.

I vote for Doc, not with the premiership cup, just in an iconic playing pose. He was our sole premiership captain the year after we moved to the ground. Legendary Saint.

Lockett may have been the best player to have played aat Morrabbin, but he spent half his career elsewhere. To me it should be Baldock. Not only was he a great player, but a good coach as well,who had to give it away because of hesrt problems. A statue of Darrel running close to the ground would br great.

Lockett played 2 thirds of his career for us, Baldock played in Tasmania too. I hated seeing my hero go but he paid his dues for us in terrible times, I dont begrudge him leaving to secure his future. 3 statues for me.
