Fantastic to see the "new guard" making up about 50% of the Top 10.

Re: Trevor barker Award Night - Thurs 1 Sept
For anyone that went I was just wondering if Paddy was in attendance and if so was he in good spirits with regards to his shoulder?

Nope, he's won 3 of the last 4, 2013, 15 and 16. Roo won 2014Con Gorozidis wrote:Jack Steven about to win his third straight B & F Award.

Seb Ross Sixth? Surely that's a joke?

He was there, seemed happy enough.DJKCR wrote:For anyone that went I was just wondering if Paddy was in attendance and if so was he in good spirits with regards to his shoulder?
Coach mentioned him a bit in his speech about his body on the line approach to footy, and praised him for it.
Few have had post season surgery, Dustan and Minch a couple with slings.
TC seemed pretty sad.
Nice touch tonight to have autograph photo session as part of the night.
It ran very late, perhaps so Steven could make both events? Not sure
Congrats to the winners.

Hickey and Ross should have been in the top 5. I call BS on that. Actually, I thought they were both more consistent than Jackie boy.

Re: Trevor barker Award Night - Thurs 1 Sept
Was a great evening last night.
All speakers were interesting and there was a buzz in the air for 2017 and what it may bring.
I went to the VIP function which was an opportunity to meet and speak to the players beforehand.
Spoke to Roo , Mav, Joey , Bruce and a few others.
All were willing to chat and were happy to be there.
From what I could get from the players we are not really interested in O'meara as the risk is too high.
We are looking at adding a midfielder and another defender.
Jack Steele is the midfielder they are after.
Sammy Fisher wants to play on next year but has been given no guarantees as yet. It will depend on what happens in the trade period.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Headed towards what must of been his sponsors table in the middle of the loyalty award, and took a picture with someone which was strange timing as there was a speech in progress.
If he was leaving, that makes sense I guess.
