Re: Delistings
Well done to those 4 lads.
Especially the three that played for the saints.
Saunders and Curran - very hard working kids

Seems to have recovered well enough from his knee re-co. Chips I guess if he's to be rookied. Can't see anyone who might be retiring to create list space.
Tom Lee might stay.

Re: Delistings
I'm glad the delistings were made quickly. In the last few years we have been one of the last out with them. I agree with all of them being cut and wish them the best.

Well I meant Lee to WC last year not Mackenzie last year, but Mackenzie being one of jaxons tips a trade might be likelyst.byron wrote:Seems to have recovered well enough from his knee re-co. Re: Delistings
Do WCE need someone like him? Seems to be a depth player, not a first choice KPD. If MacKenzie can't get a game at WCE, would Lee get one?Playon wrote:Well I meant Lee to WC last year not Mackenzie last year, but Mackenzie being one of jaxons tips a trade might be likelyst.byron wrote:Seems to have recovered well enough from his knee re-co. Re: Delistings
Probablly not but Lee can play either end, and they had some interest last year albeit not a lot as it turns out. Perhaps we'd be doing him a favor, perhaps he'd manage us to get the deal done. This statement from the club about Chips:

A good idea to say something I think.
I'm still really hoping we'll rookie him, there should be space.

Re: Delistings
Given Delany has been played in preference to Lee, I'd be surprised if Lee now makes the cut.

Re: Delistings
Thanks St Byron.
Having thought about it overnight, whilst I am mildly surprised about Payne, that's really only because of the short time we've had him and the lack of a chance to have a look at him.
Have loved watching Curren develop over the years, just a shame we drafted in others who have probably taken his chance to further improve in the ones.
I'll never forget Saunders first game, like a streak of greased lightening. A real pity that he hasn't been able to push through and hold that spot at the higher level.
Delaney played some solid games for us.
Sincere thanks to all 4 boys for their service to our club. May the footy gods smile on them if they are looking to be picked up elsewhere.

Re: Delistings
No real loss those 4, i hope the 4 that replace them are better quality players.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
Re: Delistings
Richo said tonight certainly not done and dusted in that department, wished them well and hoped their dream wasn't over...but said there will be more.

I imagine Shenton, Lee and Murdoch will follow those four soon. Then it will be very interesting to see what happens with Chips and Holmes.

Re: Delistings
Given Delaney is gone, Lee will be the interesting one.
Simply, St Kilda have "invested" the best part of 2 seasons educating him to become a 194cm, 91kg defender so complimentary to Carlisle and Goddard who are the nominated KPP defenders.
And a requirement in regards structure going forward.
So are the Club in a position to assess that the result will be 2017 onwards (and post Fisher)?
When you educate you look for ultimate result - so is Lee on track to deliver?

I was a big Tom Lee fan but I truly believe he doesn't have the tank required to play AFL football. To the top wrote:Given Delaney is gone, Lee will be the interesting one.
