Thought he had a cracker today. Will really gain confidence going into next year. Definitely part of the future.

Re: Dmac
He's a gem, hard, quick & good by foot. Great deal, effectively trading Stanley for DMac.
Just thinking how silly Geelong were today. They are screaming out for someone to step up and replace Mackie & Enright, they could have drafted DMac with 21, yet gave it to us for Stanley. I reckon Rhys is gonna get found out in Finals.
Their loss our gain. Once again, another well done to the List Management Team.

Re: Dmac
I was disappointed that he started out of the team this after such a strong finish last year... And he took a while to break into the team this year too.
That said, seems to have once again cemented his spot in the best 22 on the back of a brilliant second half of the season. Here's hoping he hits the ground running next year and starts as strongly as he finished.

So Tony.....do you care to nominate your most improved players of the season?tony74 wrote:Giandular Fever knocked the stuffing out of him.skeptic wrote:I was disappointed that he started out of the team this after such a strong finish last year... Won't come as any surprise but you'd have to be impressed with Tom and Sebs year. But I do know from within the clubs expectations Skunks year has been the most impressive.

And most unexpected. Add to that the ability to release and keep Roo on the wing (bar today!) has been a godsendtony74 wrote:Won't come as any surprise but you'd have to be impressed with Tom and Sebs year. But I do know from within the clubs expectations Skunks year has been the most impressive.

Re: Dmac
DMAc has really taken his opportunities in these last few weeks. As an earlier poster said , White and DMac really help to make the defence look strong. Sooner or later we lose the ageing stalwarts, but these lads - and Webster and Carlisle and Roberton - give us hope for the future.

Re: Dmac
His line breaking is looking great. He's a bit up and under with his kicking but hopefully he can start lowering his eyes a bit and spotting targets. We need our halfbacks be able to hit up targets otherwise the ball just comes back with interest - its one of the problems Savage has had.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:

I reckon I'm Pendelbacres biggest fan. He's had his breakout year this year. The opp coaches will be prepared for next year. As per Lonie this year.

And Blake's still only played 26 games. Great signs from a young fella with so few games.tony74 wrote:I reckon I'm Pendelbacres biggest fan. He's had his breakout year this year. The opp coaches will be prepared for next year. As per Lonie this year.
