So this week v Brisbane is Rooey's last as skipper? His last game for St Kilda, of course, will be the 2018 grand final.

Interesting. Might help him take his game to a more consistent level?

He has been consistent this year... Just hasn't been at a high level.

I'd go with Jack Steven

Armitage, Geary, Newnes, Dunstan, Weller, and one other
As deputies

Mav Weller has become the Sammy Hamill we have been trying to find since Sammy finished. Weller leads from the front with pure determination.

Agree with Mav... jacks got enough on his plate, Mav exemplifies everything our coach wants from players and I think he would be a good choice. That being said I'm happy with whatever way it goes. Whatever the outcome I doubht we will ever have anyone as good as Roo again.

And the president said " I did not have sex with that woman"

Did anyone see Mav on the Sunday footy show on nine? He was slouching in his chair. That is not captain material. What do they teach them at media training? (Tongue partly in cheek but he didn't give a respectable captain's look about him).

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Armitage and Newnes shave more often than Mav and Steven so they'd look more respectable for sponsors. I think Seb Ross shaves often.

Ross and Newnes also stand taller.
