The player you are most excited about? why?
Blacres. he seems a little unorthodox and lively... a unique footballer that is going to be an absolute gun.

Acres. Yes yes I know he makes a lot of mistakes but he also does things that have you saying wtf? He is also a massive unit, decent overhead and with potential to have a big tank. Frankly anything could happen with this bloke. Seems to have a tiny bit of mongrel in him as well - which I dont mind.
At worst he will be as good as Farren Ray which is pretty decent. At best something like Nat Fyfe.

Love big strong forwards who kick goals. Looks like he could be anything. Club needs a new marque player to replace Nick. Can't wait to see him smashing packs and kicking goals next year.

Hopefully it will be someone out of the blue ..I think we have unearthed some fine talent this season that were not high picks like Gresch,Acres, Membery.. It's these little gems that get me excited.
I just love to see young players come through and prove themselves to be just as good as the high end draft picks,particularly when they get a knock on them in the draft, like Gresch (size wise)

Acres - Love the way he's willing to take them on at every opportunity, needs to spend the preseason running with Roo and working on his field kicking. Will be a star
Gresham - looks like he's already played 50 games, another preseason building his tank and we'll have a very,very good goal kicking mid on our hands.

Its a 3 way tie
McCartin, Acres and Gresham.
All 3 could be AFL stars. As in top 10 players in the comp.
Acres has the most upside, at 190cm has kouta moments. Actes just needs to get quicker with decision making. He gets the ball sometimes and its like his mind goes blank. I dont think ive aeen a player hold the ball so long in midfield and not get caught since r harvey. It has cost him a few goals though. Hopefully experience changes that as his ability in traffic, his hands, his marking and reading the play is already elite.
Has a beautiful kick too WHEN his mind is not blank.

For pure football ability, these two are as good as I can remember at their age (I started watching only around the mid 90s)...right up there with the first glimpses of a young Brendon Goddard.
Gresham's ability in traffic and creative use of the ball are special by any standard.
McCartin's ability to mark a ball (he is the complete package here...hands, timing, body work) is, likewise, special by any standard.
They are footballers. There's something I love about guys who can influence games because of their football nous, not through being athletically and/or physically superior, if we can make the distinction.
