Maybe Paddy Crashes the Packs Too Hard

Post: # 1632289Post Sainternist »

Alas, this time it appears he has broken his collar bone :(

It has been an injury interrupted year for the lad, but boy he has shown plenty of potential. Looking forward to seeing him have better luck next year.

TV in the rooms at half time shows Paddy, talking to Dunstan - s'pose their conversation is about shoulder problems!

Love the way he plays. Don't change anything.

See ball get ball. What's he meant to do?

+1

He's just been incredibly unlucky. Hopefully next year he'll more fortunate.

Never have I been more disappointed in a player attacking the ball and scoring a goal. In fact it's the first time.

Awareness had nothing to do with it, it's not like he didn't see him there. Just has no sense of self preservation.

Wonder what the minutes break down of all his games are in terms of playing and sitting out injured, 50/50?

Needs to be aware of WHEN hit is coming and to prepare for it. I spent half a lifetime doing just that.

What was Kosi supposed to do?

Just need to get fitter and stronger... So he hits the ball with more velocity and hurts others and not himself as much. Weller hits the contest harder than him, but is durable. He has not got an afl body.

Made of Plasticine, hope he can build a career, absolutely no evidence of that at this point in time.

The Saints need to recruit a Key Back AND a Key Forward.

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

No, Playon, your comment was truly rubbish. You either did not see the incident or do not have any appreciation of how football is played.

Surely you jest!

Paddy has shown enough to signal he's going to be a champion.

We absolutely don't need another key forward - Paddy/Brucey/Membrey can develop into an A+ unit.

I don't jest, i have doubts about that trio, i think we need another one to get the combination right, it's why Roo is so important, these 3 don't deliver consistently
enough to base the forward line around them going forward.

let's wait and see who the club agrees with going forward.

I agree. What sort of player goes back and slots the goal with a broken collarbone?

Fair enough but you surely you've seen Timmy and Brucey have super qualities and Paddy's only a bub.
You cant blame the forward for when the mids fail to give them quality ball.
From my perspective Paddy have all the attributes to be as good as Plugger. His start today was outstanding.

This seems to sum you up.
Have a good look at how Paddy has incurred his concussions - nothing to do with a lack of awareness!
If you were at the game today you'd also see he played with full awareness and courage.
