Is stonecold Hurley's manager????????
The reality is Hurley has been in Europe on holiday the last three months. He was never speaking to other clubs. Full stop.
This whole thing was orchestrated by Hurley's manager to up his price $$$ and get better terms.
Why are people so gullible?
And no we WONT be getting fyfe!

Any club would take him in a heartbeat. He was never leaving and this was all the work of his mgr to up his price. Jesus christ dont try and cover your BS with more BS. I suspect you are connected to Hurley's mgr.
And you also claimed we were going to get Heppell. You are a proven bullshitter. Dont bulls*** more by pretending there is some nefarious back story. There isnt.
I have no problem with people getting something wrong. I get things wrong often. But just admit u were wrong. Dont try and make up more BS to cover the old BS.

Re: Hurley!!!!!
What stonecold is attempting to have us believe is that Essendon just signed Hurley to 5*$800k but that stonecold and st kilda and all the other 16 clubs are in possession of some negative info about Hurley but that Essendon and Essendon alone dont know about it.

Re: Hurley!!!!!
Yeah but the problem was that Stonecold heavily insinuated that Hurley was to coming us - instead a simple we are into him or we have put forth an offer would have sufficedPlayon wrote:The facts were that St kilda were interested in Hurley, so don't shoot the messenger.LTN16 wrote:Lol at stonecold.
The thing is that nobody new what Hurley wanted, only suspected he wanted to remain a Bomber. But a due process had to be followed and we would be negligent if we didnt chase required players and do our homework.
So in the end Stonecold made an early call and it didnt pan out. the club would also thinking oh well it didn't work out for us so move on. and as far as early calls go how did the Carlisle trade go? Right down to the wire in the final hour.
We always have several targets in mind, some we win some we don't and that doesn't mean we weren't interested. especially this early in the trade season.
So good on you stonecold for sticking with your guns, and it was certainly earlier than any in the press came out with
And now as CG pointed out he is insinuating that something is wrong with Hurley and thats why we went cold when probably he told the Saints he was going to resign with Essendon
Of course we all want to hear inside info but ..... if you do have some and you would like to share it then at least keep it in perspective and say it as you know it rather than embellish it with ............. WATCH THIS SPACE!!!
Just my two cents

Re: Hurley!!!!!
'We are into him' means nothing.
It means we made a phone call to his mgr - as would have 16 other clubs. It means next to nothing.

Re: Hurley!!!!!
Where was it reported that Hurley re signed with the Bummers?
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

We forced Essendope to pay big dollars to retain Hurley.stonecold wrote:St Chris wrote:Very easy to celebrate missing out, but I'm disappointed. Hurley would have been a great get. Quality players dont grow on trees, and despite us now being "a destination club", there aren't many banging down the door.
Saints withdrew offer, not sure why, but we withdrew, as did Demons apparently!!!!!
Fun while it lasted, but time to move on!!!!!
Fyfe anyone?????
5 year extension worth $4 million.
That is a small win as payback for their lying over Lovett, lying over what they gave to Carlisle and forcing us to give up pick 6 (ultimately).
We would have had to pay Essendon big to get him anyhow.
This year's first rounder and picks from next year as well.

They would have had to impose dog food rationing.

Although they are still in circulation they have stopped minting 5 cents coins recently.
Shortly the minimum coin in circulation will be 10 cents.

5 years at $800,000pa - I'd say that's why we baulked, sanity prevailing for us and Melbourne. Essendon have paid way over.
I'm sure the Bulldogs would have paid it if they had change from the Boyd deal.
