Pretty much agree 100% with Johnny's long post above.

Hannebery cant have missed many either.
Hannebery - missed 6 games in 5 years.
Parker - 11 games in 5 years.
Kennedy - 2 games in 7 years.
McVeigh - 5 games in 7 years.
Jack - 8 games in 9 years.

What a run of having all their prime mids on the park together.
Bloody hell. Incredible run. If they we were Chinese we would be pointing the finger :D

I am starting to think 300 games is going to be much more common. 300 is the new 200.

at the risk of over-using Richo's favourite word- I am positive there's some unnatural supplements happening

I think many of us are saying similar things - we all acknowledge that as good as our young mid has been at times, we are undoubtedly short on A grade class. My hope is that 2-3 of Gresh, Acres or Billings could rise to that level and be ably supported by strong midfielders in Ross, Newnes + 1 or 2 quality injections not at the club (I'm talking beyond Steven/Armo who is 28 and a solid b grader for mine). Ideally you have 7-8 who can rotate through there and in that lot you have 1 or 2 Rob Harvey's or Lenny Hayes or..... dare I say it..... a goal kicking mid would be lovely...

Still everyone obsessed with our midfield. We had 48 to 60 I 50s. Our mids were not that bad relative to the final score line.
Letting them score 146 from 60 entries indicates our defence is poor. We have the 5th worst defence in the comp.

Simplistic to say 140 from 60 entries means backline poor (it was) but that pays no attention to swans through the middle of the ground bringing the ball in with relative ease and hitting up short, lead up targets up forward. Hurley would've done squat against that delivery the other night

Ironically in the first half when we were competitive around stoppages, not being stripped of it or having tackles by mids brushed aside we were able to pressure them and they looked far less potent.

We need midfield class and big bodied class IMO

The depth of the inside 50s and the quality were incredibly different.

I agree
Must say I said to a mate at half time we played a ripper first half but even during that first you got the feeling we were red lining and hanging on a bit (and needed to kick every goal), while the Swans had another gear

The quality of entries the second half showed the midfield gap for mine

I don't doubt we need another bigger defender I'm just "torn" on the this priority over mids??
