Acres, Membrey and Gresham are the real deal.
Acres just burst through five blokes there. If Weller got his hands on it that was a certain goal.

Yep. And Kade Simpson is their best player.stevie wrote:The fact that Armfield gets a game of afl footy sums the Scum up.
The honeymoon period for Bolton is well and truly over.
A little bit like when Scotty Watters came in and started well with us (but they re starting from a lower base).
Now the true state of their list position will be exposed.
They have a long and full re-build ahead.
Wouldnt want to be in their position.

I swear you'd think Carlton one according to the AFL all... Tom Hickey goal the only saints highlight whereas Carlton have a bunch... We also get Bruce's miss and was the ball over the line.

I will say this Firey, you're not one for the insults and the name calling and I respect that. I still think you're misrepresenting an argument here and I don't get why but if ur premise is that Gilbert kicked butt today and deserves a bit of praise being maligned over the year then I can get behind that. The Fireman wrote:Take exception to what you like, was just getting sick of all the posts wanting to see Gilbo dropped when he was clearly the better option to select. Anyway won't allow the negative posters to stop me enjoying this gameskeptic wrote:I take exception to your post that ppl want Gilbo to fail. That is not and has never been the case and both Con and I were full of praise for Sam in the game against Geelong esp when he made that late spoil but whatever. As far as this game goes, I'm not watching so I'm only really going off the stats but I did say he was playing well. The Fireman wrote:ok then why did you bother to respond ? Did I make up that we have Gilbo knockers ? Are they being positive about Gilbo now ?skeptic wrote:You're laughing at an argument that you made up to justify you're POV... The only forumite that I can remember actually wanting someone to fail is Saynta with Lee. I can seen reasoning with you will be a fruitless endeavour today. The Fireman wrote:Love hearing the Gilbo knockers trying to justify themselves..I have a chuckle at some of my fellow supporters.
I'm glad both Gilbo and the team is playing well, and will try and enjoy the positivity
I will definitely enjoy the game and remain positive.
Enjoy your imaginary argument and good job keep the thread positive
Good to have a big win especially against that Scum. Hopefully Sam can keep up the good work.

Re: Match thread v Blues
i know its a different scenario but does anyone else feel this season could culminate in a final game scoring frenzy ala 2008 and we sneak into the 8? Thats assuming we drop the Sydney game ( a win would obviously damn great) beat Tiggers and are smashing the Lions. If North lose all thier 3 games and drop some percent then look out.
Can anyone calculate how many goals etc we would need to make up the current 16.4 % on them?

I am slightly 3 sails to the wind - but by my calculations - a 48 goal win would just do it!!!!stevie wrote:i know its a different scenario but does anyone else feel this season could culminate in a final game scoring frenzy ala 2008 and we sneak into the 8? Why does it matter?8856brother wrote:How many touches?evo wrote:10 tackles from the meatball today in 70% game time.
He is clearly playing his part - not everyone in the team can get 20+ possessions - 10 tackles is immense
How many possessions does Gary Rohan get - yet he still holds his spot in a very strong Swans outfit

Of course it matters. If it didn't we'd be recruiting rugby players.Devilhead wrote:Why does it matter?8856brother wrote:How many touches?evo wrote:10 tackles from the meatball today in 70% game time.

I'll say it again - possessions are not the (only) measure of a player's contribution to the team.8856brother wrote:Of course it matters. Re: Match thread v Blues
Absolutely ridiculous that not one passage of our play from this game that resulted in a goal did not feature on the afl's top 10 of the week. f****** uunbelievable
