21 possessions for Lewie is a great effort!

Glad we traded a second rounder for him. Hopefully he'll be good enough to play VFL 1sts next year

Jeez Saunders is having a late burst of form - don't think it will save him though.
Sincs and Lonie - a class above at VFL level - hope they can find a way to impact AFL with their smaller size. Richo's huge tackling game and lack of midfield rotation doesn't suit that however.
NOK - looking the same - looks classy and a ball getter.
Pierce - 21 possies is a great sign. Deserves a game this year to know where he needs to get to.
Longer - 10 you'd love to see him start being more effective in the VFL but sounds like he's not 100% still
Freeman - just 5 possies is a worry. I thought he looked pretty good a couple of weeks ago when I saw him on tv - he knew the spots to get to just didn't have the reaction speed to do much with it. Sounds like he's got a lot of work to do with those hammies yet.
Macca - 5 goals - nice baby
Shents - a lazy 6 sausages - surely gets a game next week unless Richo keeps his ultra conservative selection approach going - that will be good for us in the future right
Rice - just 10 a little disappointing. I've got big hopes for this cat but he's obviously got a bit of work to do to get his tank up
Webster - 16 solid return

Some good signs there. With the poor rotation through the seniors its hard for some of these guys to get much of a go in the big show. Just have to keep hammering away.

Is Freeman playing through the midfield or just sitting in a forward pocket getting some match condition in those hammies???

I couldn't give a stuff whether Freeman gets 5 or 25 disposals. The fact he is getting through games is good enough for me. Hamstring injuries are as much a mental battle as a physical battle. There'll come a point where things will just click, he'll have a big game.

Watched Freeman for a month.... He's been full training in an AFL environment for 10 weeks.

And he has been very ordinary and should be dropped to the twos as atm he ain't up to it... He's played wing and has touched it 8, 10, 12 and 5 times ... Mainly scrappy handballs. (His 12 pos games was when he got half of those in the last quarter playing loose man in defence)

He has a LOT of improving to do, to be at VFL standard.

Not having Holmes would have helped too... So they were not bogged down with an extra useless tall and lose run.

Longer must be traded IMO... Pierce is a load better, and younger and is going to get better... Longer is rugged and crashes, but has very average ability... Strange thing is, Longer has way more value on the open market thanks to his draft position.

I can't see what Longer's draft position has to do with his trade value after 4 odd years in the system.

Surely recruiters would be looking at his AFL/VFL form.

Surely freeman is under strict instructions as to how hard he goes at it? Otherwise I agree he would be dropped. But he is clearly running at 1/2 pace and just getting game time into the hammies which you'd imagine is the clear plan / instruction.
