that was infuriating!!!!!!
shouldn't have got my hopes up....
McMillan and Dal just running around doing as they liked... and Cunnington taking the piss
and Goalkicking not fit for D Grade Amatuers
and some really disappointing aspects to the game that AR will be furious about
+ the umpiring

Re: that was infuriating!!!!!!
We aren't as good as we think.
We need an AFL quality spine.
We need more quality in the midfield.
We need to learn how to kick straight.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
Re: that was infuriating!!!!!!
I had a feeling that this would happen, but I still feel like breaking something.
Kicked ourselves out of the game, really disappointing.

Re: that was infuriating!!!!!!
Crappy kicking early did it.
Mids were beaten but their second effort pressure almost, almost made that difference count for naught.
Our F50 entries were far often just bombs.
What a sh1t game.

Re: that was infuriating!!!!!!
Defended well.
Pressure was good.
Just smashed in the clearances...it's hard to score from a ball coming in to your D50 at the best of times, let alone as your only avenue to goal.
Smashed at the clearances, consequently the ball movement wasn't great, hard to get a good look and goal and when we did, we completely stuffed it.
Umps were crap too. The one to waite against Hickey in the goal square is the sort of crap that makes you want to stop watching the AFL. What other top level pro sport changes rules halfway through a season? Just for a laugh or....?
Very frustrating game to watch...but not for our effort which was pretty good. We were clearly too passive at clearances though.
Best: Acres, Minchington, Weller, Riewoldt, Roberton

We need a second ruckman in the team... Pbly at the expense of a flanker, either forward or back that doesn't run enough, or a pocket player that doesn't quite fit the bill

I thought North out pressured us... I was disappointed about that

Occasion got the better of us. Plus some iffy umpiring at crucial moments. Was it better for us to crumble in front of goal like this today or in the first week of finals? Not sure.
Re: that was infuriating!!!!!!
We played soft and anytime we tried to show fight a free kick was called and we lost it again.

Re: that was infuriating!!!!!!
McCartin would have been a handy in tonight with the way the ball was delivered. He would have clunked a few of those long bombs that came in.
But we just werent good enough tonight.

Re: that was infuriating!!!!!!
If any of you were sitting behind the Saints goals and saw a (late ) middle-aged man in an aisle seat stand up on three separate occasions and fling his Saints members hat to the ground in frustration at the umpiring decisions - well , that was me . I honestly do not understand what is going on with the umpiring towards Josh Bruce. The poor lad must be so frustrated himself.
Having said that, we butchered so many chances. Deflating for the team to throw away opportunities to put pressure on the scoreboard .

Do you actually attend games? Is that too tough a question? It's so obvious you don't.

Re: that was infuriating!!!!!!
He's a third year who's played 50 odd games, managed a shoulder reco and is still tough enough to stick it out in the middle under huge pressure from way bigger more experienced bodies.
I get that he's not got the finish at the moment but last year people were calling for Seb's head (too slow, doesn't get enough of the ball). I don't agree that you get a guaranteed game no matter what, but he is doing enough in my book to get picked. Another pre-season and I think we will see him lift.
So no, he doesn't get any votes tonight, but I'm not going to pot him.
