Who replaces Sinclair next week?
Surely unless Richo is up to some funny business Sinclair goes out of the side. 3 possessions is probably not quite enough to keep him in.
I guess little Lonie and more likely Eli are the replacements, unless of course Paddy is ready to come back.

I am sure that I heard Richo say that if Paddy was ready to return next weej, it would be through the VFL.saintspremiers wrote:Surely unless Richo is up to some funny business Sinclair goes out of the side. 3 possessions is probably not quite enough to keep him in.

I would imagine, if there are any changes for Sinclair - it would be Eli

Re: Who replaces Sinclair next week?
Sinclair was disappointing, he has a big pre season ahead of him to forget about this year. Will he go like for like? Minch or Eli or will Paddy come in? Footy department has a big decision to make. That's why they get the big bucks and we don't.

Opportunity today for Templeton, Lonnie, Minch, Shenton or perhaps even White to put their hand up

Re: Who replaces Sinclair next week?
I would like to see him stay in.
Both he and Billings struggled in their second game back.
Sinclair is a jet who is just struggling at the moment.
Reckon the way Richo went for him straight after the siren last night he will stay in.

I hope he stays in too. We all know he has the talent, Just needs to build the confidence again.
He has spent a lot of time on the bench and I think is having trouble getting into the game.
McKenzie has been in for several weeks and has yet to show any decent stats. Plenty of clangers too.
i think he should be first to go.

DMac was solid last night I thought and seems to be slowly getting into it. Wouldn't be dropping him.StPeter wrote:I hope he stays in too. We all know he has the talent, Just needs to build the confidence again.

Re: Who replaces Sinclair next week?
From Richo's press conference:
McCartin - VFL next week
Webster -1 more week out
S Fisher - a chance this week
Minchington - had a small niggle and was rested. Back next week.
INS: S Fisher, Templeton/Minchington
OUT: Sinclair, McKenzie
McKenzie was sloppy and cost us a few goals.

To answer the question.
That would be the selection committee.

Re: Who replaces Sinclair next week?
The conditions for the VFL match today were very difficult, but Sandringham were comprehensively beaten in the contest by a side playing in the very same conditions.
The only positive I could see from the VFL match was that Freeman was on the ground at the start and was on the ground at the end - so mission accomplished and now for the next step with some match conditioning kicking in.
Lee took a couple of marks, Longer tried hard and Shenton kicked a couple of goals - apart from that we did not bring the physical requirements and were far, far too often out numbered.
None from that performance would be placing any pressure on those in the AFL side - so the only pressure will come from anyone returning from being unavailable.

Re: Who replaces Sinclair next week?
I disagree. I am quite impressed with NOK. For some reason ne reminds me of a young Nathan Burke. Id give him a crack on what Ive seen. The same deal DMac got. 3 Guaranteed games in a row.To the top wrote:The conditions for the VFL match today were very difficult, but Sandringham were comprehensively beaten in the contest by a side playing in the very same conditions.

I would drop DMac and Sinclair and rest Joey.
In: NOK Fisher and Minch.
Eli Templeton is smashing the stats in the VFL but doesnt seem to gain much ground and accumulates a lot of cheap posession running sideways and around the kicker. His efficiency is good but very restricted. His kicks arent penetrating often enough. He has many solid attributes and is a VFL star. He needs to do better to topple most of our other mids and he is only a sweeper in defence and no where near Montagna, Geary or Webster. There is no room for him in our forwatd line either.
One more preseason.

Re: Who replaces Sinclair next week?
Lonie or Minch will come in for Sinclair.
I would have said Jimmy W with Wrighty going forward BUT I understand he's a week or two away.
Eli unlucky that we have an abundance of small forwards and AR doesn't see him in his future plans

Re: Who replaces Sinclair next week?
Is Eli even a small fwd? I see him as a small back. Eli is only 20 and has shown huge improvement this year in the VFL.lintonstreet wrote:Lonie or Minch will come in for Sinclair.

Where do people get these idea about AR's 'future plans'? Sorry but I dont believe AR goes around publicly telling people who is in his future plans.
I remember everyone was saying Membrey wasnt in AR's 'future plans' in for the first 6 games this year and look how that turned out.

I noticed Richo specifically mentioned Eli on SEN - and he wasn't going through the whole list - so seemingly he has still got him in mind.Con Gorozidis wrote:Is Eli even a small fwd? Eli is a player.

Yep, he's a player, but unfortunately Eli plays for Eli, not the team!bigred wrote:Eli is a player.

Elaborate more.... You have to be kidding. Eli is a good young player. Way too good for VFL. Not too bad AFL player.

VFL final last year, could hardly walk. Refused to come after three calls from Huddo to get him off.coopergrech wrote:Elaborate more.... You have to be kidding. Eli is a good young player. Way too good for VFL. Not too bad AFL player.

I've seen nothing this year to indicate he's changed his attitude!
