Casey 45 Sandy 26. Casey dominated with the strong breeze. Lonie, Eli got plenty that qtr again. NOK a bit quieter. Thought Lee played well at the back taking a couple good marks. Coughlan doing ok. Pierece working hard in the ruck. Holmes doing ok forward getting some frees. Longer must have gone forward or off as I didn't see him. Freeman getting a few touches but seen him on the bench a bit. Haven't had the chance to really see him run yet - hope he gets the chance to show us if he's got that burst speed we all want. With Rice and White gone for the day its going to be pretty tough for Sandy unless they can blow them away this qtr with the breeze

Lonie, Eli around 13 possies, Shenton 10

Really average... But the conditions don't suit Sandys light weight midfield

And you can't zip the ball around because of the wind

Playing three ruckmen in rubbish conditions cost Sandy last week and is killing them today. Always 1 witches hat forward on the ground... Effectively giving Casey another player.

Not sure they have or will win with three slow ruckmen that all average less than 10ppg

Why is Billy Longer playing loose man in defense whilst kicking with a 4 goal breeze

Last week Hudsons coaching into and with the wind was terrible... He was clearly out coached by Ayres

Not sure what he's thinking but you cannot continue to bomb it into the forward line to extra numbers... Especially when you can kick goals from 65

Casey 55 Sandy 46. Very disappointing qtr kicking with the breeze. Just kept bombing it in to the forward line with little result. Almost impossible to win from here. Lonie looking a class above with his reactions and innovation. Whether his size will stop him being effective at AFL level is the question. As you would expect Freeman doesn't look battle hardened - getting to the right places but doesn't have the reaction speed in the congestion. But if he can get through another game that's another step forward.

Saints players at Sandy not that impressive in the 3rd quarter, didn't get much from Freeman, Lonie, Eli or Murdoch. Shenton & Lee OK, 3 big ruckmen Longer, Holmes & Pierce innefective in these very blustery conditions.

That Weideman looks good for Melbourne. Another big forward to go with Hogan will fit in nicely.

Judging by the last two weeks Nathan is a very long way off senior footy

The other thing I noticed was his size... He is a small mid.

I've also been impressed by his ability to put one leg ahead of the other and move in a forward manner. Good signs.

Casey 92 Sandy 46 Losing White and Rice made it pretty difficult but Casey looked the better team from the get go. Lonie was Sandy's best and Eli, NOK, Lee, Saunders, Shenton all showed something. Longer took some marks which was an encouraging sign. Freeman was on and off quite a bit I think but didn't look uncomfortable out there - just doesn't have that reaction speed yet that comes from playing serious games.

Imagine when he can turn and move in a sideways direction. Woweee!

Honestly, when they were massaging his hammies mid way through the last I thought he was done for the day.

The fact that he made it back onto the field was the highlight of his game!

Sandy have lost the plot the last two weeks. Need to turn around. I am not sure playing three Rucks is doing them much good.
