Re: Votes vs the vanquished Demons
5. Hickey. Not too many players have Gawn moved off them. Smashed him around the ground and broke even at the bounces.
4. Membrey.
3. Geary.
2. Weller.
1. Gresham. Very good when the game was up for grabs in the last.

Re: Votes vs the vanquished Demons
5. Hickey - Has turned into a terrific ruckman...Demolished Gawn who is AA standard this season. Looked like a rover at times.
4. Geary - Great defensive game and two momentum gathering goals in the 2nd quarter.
3. Weller - Hard as nails and a good forward option.
2. Membrey - almost playing a lone hand inside 50.
1. Gresham - That step...wow!

5: Hickey
4: Gears

2: Mav
1: Newnes
Hardest week for a while. Watched the replay last night and changed my mind to sneak Newnes in for Robbo; both were fantastic.
So many even contributors, especially down back, and so many extended play glimpses of the team of the future (Gresh, Blacres, DMac etc etc etc)

Re: Votes vs the vanquished Demons
5. Tom Hickey - has the ability to win the ball at ground level after the ruck contest
4. Tim Membrey - confidence is everything for him and he has learnt a lot from the captain about multiple leads
3. Jarryn Geary - his best game for the club
2. Seb Ross - most improved player at the club
1. Leigh Montagna - has reinvented himself as a half back

Woefully out of touch last week; the REAL Shaun Dempster yesterday. The big lump Hogan had minimal impact.stonecold wrote:Interesting to see coaches had Dempster in the votes, (not many others if any on here though)!!!!!

Re: Votes vs the vanquished Demons
Hickey was clearly BOG.
To read these votes and note the exclusion by many of Riewoldt, Steven and Dempster astounds.
The work those 3 did was instrumental in the turning of the tide and the result achieved.
Then there was Membrey presenting as he did.
Past that, unlike the previous week, it was "all played well"
Game time was interesting also.

Couple of self proclaimed "experts" didn't give Hickey a vote either. To the top wrote:Hickey was clearly BOG.

Voting is subjective. It'd be boring if we all followed each other. To the top wrote:Hickey was clearly BOG.

Re: Votes vs the vanquished Demons
Can't believe coaches could find a vote for Mav.
Always overlooked when yet again he worked his arse off and in tight got many handballs away that set up our running players.

Yeah! Did you not notice that Hogan injured his hip or back early in the game? I did!Trev from the Bush wrote:Woefully out of touch last week; the REAL Shaun Dempster yesterday.
