Re: Squad vs Essendon
N: S. Dempster, N. Wright, D. McKenzie
OUT: T. Lee (omitted), P. McCartin (concussion), J. Lonie (omitted)
Better side this week in terms of aggressiveness and speed but down on scoring potential, imho.

Would rather Pierce instead of D-Mac.
The big lad offers a bit more marking power and will stretch the defence.

As much as I'd like to see Pierce again I think it's important to play Bruce back into form. With Membrey there and effective I believe Bruce lost his role a little bit. I think it's really important to stick with our forward structure.
Sam Gilbert you are an EXCITEMENT MACHINE!

With Wright and McKenzie both in that adds two quick hard nuts.
Overall it is a very well balanced team.
We should have a good day out!

Re: Squad vs Essendon
I'm glad we are testing out Wright again. He's one of they guys right in line for delisting with some good young half backs coming through including Mckenzie. Dempster gives us some experience and solidness but slows us down from the back so swings and roundabouts. I would have liked to see us roll the dice a bit more this week against weak opposition and be more experimental and blooding some more young guys. Richo doesn't strike me as the boldest coach.

Re: Squad vs Essendon
Let's hope Riewoldt has his kicking boots on if we do play him forward. 0.5 isn't a good enough return for the number of times we went to him last week.
