Sounds like a change in the plan - be that a delay in moving back to Linton St/NZ update/something else?

It's not annual meeting time either

or a response to Victorian members wanting what Inter-staters get when Matt and Peter attend pre match functions

they have done the same over recent years to specific membership groups- I believe the 'Red White and black' member level had something similar last year

Perhaps Finnis can explain what the hell this pony-tailed waffle is all about?

Have you ever heard a pre game interview with Richo when he hasnt used those words? Its quite funny really, just like GT used to use 'moving forward' all the time. If AR is that exciting when addressing the players pre game, is it any wonder they look half asleep when they run out!

This came from the club today...
Saints Membership Support Team wrote:Round 12 v Carlton
Whilst the club’s membership numbers have increased, our reserved seat numbers have remained steady. In the week leading in to each game the club (like other clubs) is required to sell back its unused seats to the stadium otherwise we are required to pay for those unused seats. Usually the stadium won’t need to on-sell a great number of our returned seats however, at a game like round 12 the stadium needed were in a position where they needed to sell all inventory to deal with the size of the crowd.

Triple M Comments Monday 12 June
To his credit, Danny apologised both publicly and to Caroline Wilson. The club has acknowledged that his comments were inappropriate, cringe-worthy and could barely be more in contrast with our values. Danny also addressed our players and staff on the matter. It’s important to note that this was done willingly and was genuine. Danny and the wider football community will learn from his mistakes and he has put his hand up to the repair the damage.

Financial status of the club and the funding for Moorabbin
The club is again on track to improve its financial position thanks to a growth in Sponsorship, Membership and attendance increases. We won’t be in a position to retire any more debt but it remains an important focus for us.
In regards to Moorabbin, whilst the club does need to make a significant contribution the facility is also being funded by:
· Vic Government ($12 million)
· AFL and AFL Victoria ($6 million)
· Kingston City Council ($5 million)
· Southern Football & Netball league (SFNL - $250,000)
· South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL - $150,000)
Members raised that they wanted to assist with the funds that the club needed to raise. We appreciate our members’ and supporters’ generosity and willingness to help and we will reach out to them when the time is right.

Will the new Moorabbin be accessible?
Moorabbin will still be a community environment. A key component of the redevelopment is to complement the reserve’s existing uses, and for Moorabbin to be a place where the community feels welcome and involved with our club.

Free Agency
We are not going to comment on individuals but we are interested in bringing in players that will add to our young and emerging list and we will be active is trying to get them. Our preference is to hold on to early selections and we back our recruiting and list management team to select the right players in the draft, but in addition to that free agency is an attractive prospect.

St Kilda standalone VFL team
We’ll extend the partnership with Sandringham in a different format that allows us to be more involved in some key decisions.

Women’s League
What is a provisional licence? It’s hard to explain. We pushed for the women’s league to be 10 licences instead of 8 and had that got over the line we would’ve been one of those 10. We’ve had a lot of support from the AFL in that space and we’ll put our hand up to apply for a licence in 2018 should the opportunity arise. Naturally not getting a licence for 2017 a lot of questions have been raised externally around Peta Searle. It’s something that’s on our minds but we want her here and we’re confident that we can keep her.

Membership
A question was raised around whom do we call if we have a problem? We encourage members to contact the Membership Support Team and speak to any of our staff members if they have any concerns or questions.
My main query is around the VFL team...I'm not sure what that means...Does it mean that we will not have a St Kilda VFL team in 2017? Or that we are going to "take over" Sandringham to make them more "St Kilda"? Have them wear red, white and black and call them the Sandringham Saints? Or just extend the partnership for one more year further delaying our ability to compete with teams that have their own VFL team and can develop players better than us?
