Makes sense, Boomer, who is close with greshams dad has mentored him for a while. Getting personal tips from a guy who may end up playing the most games of all time would be pretty handy, especially when he's the same mould.Goose is king wrote:His movement and lateral movement, charging around dodging people reminds me of Boomer Harvey.
He is a little bit hungry like boomer too which I like

Watched snippets of the game again. On the restart bounce after Hawkins goal (the one he pushed Gilbert in the back, no call of course) gresham came steaming off half back into the center square broke through the entire pack, won the ball and had an effective kick forward. Did not expect to see him coming out from that position. So much upside in this kid, another tough nut with a no bulls*** approach to a contest.

I like that he backs himself. See him streaming into goal with Riewoldt alongside demanding the ball? He takes the shot and sprays it, no doubt earning the skipper's wrath. Good signs there that he thinks himself capable and hopefully the goal in the fourth will mollify skip.

Case could be made that he was worth pick 5 in his own right.
