Jade Gresham he's ok

Re: Jade Gresham he's ok
Jade the Eel (slippery as). Amazing maneuverability with that low centre of gravity and chunky legs. Started landing his passes too which we were told was strength. Seems to have a great self-belief - even screwing up a certain goal didn't dent his confidence later - what a great goal. He's one of the players who seems to almost play within himself ad does everything with a neatness. When he really gets the speed of AFL under his belt and his reactions become a bit quicker he could be anything.
Surely Gresham is in the top 5 players from last year's draft career to date?
They are the eight I would have in the mix for top 5 to date

Re: Jade Gresham he's ok
One can believe the recruiting departments claim that they rated him as the 5th best player in that draft
Re: Jade Gresham he's ok
Jades handpassing and vision in the contest is unbelieveable. Against Carlton he threaded a handpass out of the scrum through 3 players to a player running on the outside. He hit another one last night as well. Combine that vision with his ability to baulk and change direction... the kid could be elite.

I wonder if he is a chance for the Rising star nomination this week?ben_fff wrote:Jades handpassing and vision in the contest is unbelieveable. Wow, we're only just seeing him in his rookie season. Just imagine what he'll be like once he comes of age!

Or at least the 5th best available after taking into account the Academy players that we could not get.skeptic wrote:One can believe the recruiting departments claim that they rated him as the 5th best player in that draft

Dunno, he doesn't seem to stage for frees when tackled around the waste.Con Gorozidis wrote:Gresh reminds me a little of Wanganeen.

That carlisle trade is looking the goods at this very stage. Greshams composure is outstanding very rarely makes the wrong decision. Only knock on him is his "on the run" kicking. Seems to be getting better week by week. Finally his clinical finish in the last qtr gets more impressive every time i watch it.

BigMart wrote:The recruiting dept have never claimed that
It was a post on Bigfooty I believe that claimed that during the draft that the StKilda CEO at the time Gresham was picked showed the forumite his mobile showing how StKilda ranked the candidates and that Gresham was a much lower pick on that list. As the recruiting department would have made the rankings and not the CEO that is where that story came from.
Whether the BF forumite is to be believed or not is another matter.

Re: Jade Gresham he's ok
The other point to note on Jade is that he is the youngest player on our list, and one of the younger players in the AFL. So lots of improvement to come most likely.
