Geary
Did you hear Gears during the game? Miked up for the telly broadcasts.
Anyone who doubts his leadership skills should watch & listen to the replay.
He is continually giving directions to players. His eyes are darting all across the field - he is yelling instantaneously to players, who to man up on, whilst directing the player with the ball where to kick/handball, all the time keeping his opponent in his zone. A real leader on field is the Gears - no wonder all the coaches and selectors love him.

Re: Geary
I don't think anyone ever doubts his leadership skills, his endeavour and his courage. The guy is a true dedicated Saint. It's his disposal skill level that gets questioned, weather justifiably or not.

His effort is always there
The direction... For those who play a bit would know that it happens every game at most decent levels.
It was nothing extraordinary ... It's what happens and is expected from leaders
