St Kilda condemns Frawley's joke about Caroline Wilson

The St Kilda Football Club, were Frawley is a specialist defensive coach, slammed the comments.

"The comments were completely inappropriate, cringe-worthy and could barely be in more contrast with our club values," St Kilda said in a statement to SEN.

"We called Danny as soon as we learned about the comments to express our views and will meet with him again during the week to discuss how harmful these comments are. We understand Danny has publicly apologised and regrets his comments."

Seems like it comes on the back of some criticism of Collingwood by Caro (or at least that's her take), and if so, is a pretty piss poor effort by a club CEO. A bit sensitive is Ed, so why can't others around him be similarly 'sensitive'.

All in all, crap banter, deserves a whack...shame we had to get hit by the shrapnel though!

You might be fighting a losing battle Curly...fact is, seems to be a clear case of retribution for criticism levelled at Collingwood in the press, as the victim Caro has the right to decide how she responds. She doesn't seem to think its much of a joke, our club doesn't think so either. Eddie's the one that looks weak, he lead the charge in front of his two boof-head mates, who have at least had the character to man up and apologize already.

Caro, whether she's good or bad, cops a huge amount of crap due to the fact she's one of the few female journalists in the industry, so is a soft target. Ed picked her out above any personality past, present, or fictitious, plus journalists like Barrett, Robbo, etc. any number of people who've taken a shot at his club recently. I don't think anyone should laud this goose picking out soft targets for lame banter...it's just bullying. In his position, he should be showing more respect.

Anyways, I noticed the AFL press conference has been pulled, so maybe Eddie's finally prepared an apology? Shame, I was quite keen to see Brad Scott get a whack too!
