At least he can get it. Goddard doesn't even know where the ball is.Tom_Sainter wrote:ACL for Goddard unfortunately it seems. As good as a mark McCartin is his kicking for goal at the moment is awful. Not much good taking big marks then not converting

Re: Match day thread - Saints v Crows
Crows with 244 disposals for a half of footy - nearly 90 more than us
Says we arent working hard enough / running hard enough - Crows are able to get players free and hit up these players because our pressure is non existant - only 25 tackles
No pressure no turnovers - our workrate is dismal
19 players with 10 possessions or under
Unless we can start bringing game interstate we aint goin nowhere

But even if we do, does that in anyway excuse that first half?MC Gusto wrote:got a feeling we will comeback hard in the 2nd half

crows battled hard late last week...
If it was are only such half for the year then fair enough.
Unfortunately at present the Saints (and this is nota troll) are probably the biigest team for downhill skiing in theAFL.
We even seem to be up and about with plenty of run, defensive pressure and ok disposal OR just totally inept with poor workrate, no pressure and absoluely "headless chook" disposal ability.
Middle ground efforts are rare. Just good or diabolical!
Today two thirds of the team are only offering up token efforts. Very disappointing to witness.

Re: Match day thread - Saints v Crows
Nothing to lose now, what we need to do is change the pattern of the game and try to slow the game down!
We have to try and maintain as much possession as possible without turning it over all the time. Big ask I know!

These games leave us with no illusions about where we a really at. We are 6 or 7 players short of being a quality team

I mean, that bounce. Footy gods hate us. Every one, all day so far. When it rains, it pours.

Re: Match day thread - Saints v Crows
Hard to call it a backline really, bordering on VFL standard, shame for Goddard but he was getting torn a new one before he went off, was being completely dominated. We have no leaders out thereSaint_J wrote:Too many terrible things to mention in this one... hope we can keep it under 100pts.
omg Goddard bad bad bad. hope it's not season ending.
Our bakline is still so dependent on Fisher : (
Re: Match day thread - Saints v Crows
Disgusting, shameful effort!!!
Dunstan, Newnes, Ross, Billings, Webster, Murdoch
Really need to be better and wo
Some senior players embarrassing... Gilbert, mean seriously
Steven, Weller, Geary aside... And some OK efforts by the fwds given limited chances...

Wow. From no injuries in defence to Goddard, fisher and possibly Dempster.
