Re: Leicester City
Certainly an inspiring effort. With any luck it will at least inspire us to play 3 or 4 inches taller across the back line this Sunday ...
Hopefully for Leicester fans this is the beginning of a long period of success.
And we continue to dream.

Re: Leicester City
And if Crystal Palace beat Manure in the FA Cup final it really will be the year of the underdog.
"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Re: Leicester City
And the bookies have them at much shorter odds to get relegated than to go back to back?
May happen too - but in a way it would only add to the fairytale.
Fantastic achievement, and happy that man utd helped them get there.
i mean we've got silverware coming, so why not assist a struggler .

Re: Leicester City
Lol i got my son to check the Spurs score early this morn to see if the title was won. 2- 0 Dad. Ok. Neither of us realised that game was still going lol.
Get on Espn an hour later to see that the Foxes nabbed it! Great for their fans. I don't think they've won a trophy since mayb the FA Cup decades ago? They pretty much won't win another title but they can enjoy it for now and good luck to them. Villa fans can only look on in disbelief

Anyone see Nine News tweet this morning that Leister had won the Grand Final after the 2-2 draw?

Re: Leicester City
Southampton FC has had yet another fantastic season as well. They beat Man City yesterday 4-2 and are currently 7th on the EPL table. Not bad for a club who has a payroll about a tenth of the size of most of the powerful sugar daddy clubs.

Would love to see them go into top five at the expense of Man United

Re: Leicester City
I think like too many Saints teams of the past we rely on a few stars to prop the team up and really need a more even spread of posters.Toy Saint wrote:This forum needs all the interesting fresh material it can get. Unfortunately when we had to release a star poster (plugs), we didn't have time to negotiate the acquisition of a suitable replacement. Marto did, though, come across from BF under the Free Posting rule.
The average posting rate needs to lift if this site is to become a contender.

Re: Leicester City
After years in the wilderness the saints are really cementing themselves as consistent top half team. Beaten Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal this season. It'd be nice to knock off Spurs this weekend and really push for another Europa spot. Form like this should go a long way to improving the retention of quality players.Sainternist wrote:Southampton FC has had yet another fantastic season as well. I think a few of you have misinterpreted what this post was about. It's not about soccer, or really about Leicester. It's about dreams and that minuscule chance that the unbelievable can happen.tony74 wrote:Dreams can come true. Have faith and believe Sainters.

Re: Leicester City
We can't be Leicester City, I read 3 articles yesterday saying GWS was Leicester...and one this morning saying the Roos were!!! Evidently the Giants will be giving away all their concessions now and dropping player payments by 75%??? I don't know how the Roo's became Leicester City, that one's got me completely baffled...maybe because no-one barracks for them?
