Re: Votes Saints v Melb
5 Roo - Just a star.
4 Hickey - Nulified the love child and had a ripping game himself.
3 Acres - Breakout game. Sign of things to come. Could be anything
2 The Skunk - Another breakout game. Great hands. Sometimes.
1 Steven - Clearance machine. Broke it open in the third qtr.
Unlucky:
Savage - Thought he was best on in first half but faded. Actually thought he was injured.
Ross - Most consistant award.
Dunstan - Tough as nails. Had an impact.
Billings - All class after a quiet start.
Well done Saints

Roo - 3 goals, 24disp, 14 marks.
Acres - was everywhere for the most part, stood up in several tackles.
Hickey - 2 straight weeks of great performances against top ruckman
Membrey - feels weird having a 5 goal guy this low, found his spots well and didn't force anything
Sinclair - involvement up the ground and in the forward line is great to see

That'd be our multi-sleeved multi-goaled mid sized forward Membrey.st.byron wrote:Who is "The Skunk"?8856brother wrote:5 Roo - Just a star.

I reckon Sinclair's influence in the first half was the spark that ignited our comeback. I haven't had a look at Sincliars stats and he faded a bit in the second half, but I thought his tackling, his pressure, disposal efficiency and his snaps for goal were A grade. I hope the coach mentions Sinclair's class and his work rate today. He was tough but he was also composed and clean with his disposal.
Jack Steven just keeps getting better and better and there is no doubt that he is elite. Steven put the foot on the Dees proverbial throat after half time and obviously he's able to gut run for longer periods than the younger Jack.

Re: Votes Saints v Melb
My votes would mirror mostly the above. It was great to watch the boys live on tv, it doesn't happen that often. Am surprised that Armo hasn't been mentioned amongst all the joy? Ok, he's not in the votes but a few times he was the linkman on a wing driving the ball forward. Thought his disposals were all very effective and he jagged a goal.
Very pleasing team performance after an even first qtr. We really should've had the game done and dusted by half time but we made sure of it in the third qtr
