Excellent coach in the sense that he gets the players doing exactly what he wants them to do.

The problem is, and always was, that his strategy for winning flags is wrong. Flawed.

Plan A when he first arrived at Freo was to over rely on Pavlich like he did Roo

It's alright though, he had a plan B this time, over rely on Fyfe.

Oh, oh dear....

You got it all wrong

Plan A was to get his millions up front, so he didn't have to camp in someone's garage!

Yes. Well aware of the other Nic. Not a breach of rules because the two Nics don't support each other in forum disputes. What we have missed is Rodger's contributions. But his reports have been missed the most. Although another multi Nic poster has done a wonderful job in Rodger's absence.

A little touchy, aren't we?

Perhaps it's time for a cup of tea, a Bex and good lie down.

Even a broken clock is twice a day . Nettlefold was a shocking CEO and cost the club millions while the club was actually successful on field . Didn't capitalise with sponsorship, a blockbuster game for future fixtures or locking in a coach which most people considered one of the best at the time . As it turned out he isn't and it actually worked out for the better for us in the end .
Finnis on the other hand is proving to be a proper CEO capable of turning our club into a professional outfit.

Finnis is doing well but he's an AFL plant put into our club as we were almost in administration. Although I use the word almost as the AFL always bails out poor performing clubs so it can't actually happen

Like about 8 other clubs. Cmon now, who gives a s*** if he is. Have a look at Melbourne! The whole football department are AFL plants. I would prefer someone with a bit of nous and with the backing of the AFL than some ex player who got lucky in business.

Paul Roos and Robert Walls were 2 of the most influential footy commentators and footy experts around 2009/2010. The propaganda merchants were Ross Lyon's mates and the creators of the "legend of Lyon - genius coach with an undermanned list". We all know that some legends are just a myth

In that case..."Thank You, Michael Nettlefold!"

He is saying all kinds of weird things. He is back tracking like crazy and eating humble pie left right and centre. The only thing he is passionate and committed about is keeping the cash in his contract for another five years. $$$$.

I just hope that Freo are still going crap when they play us as I would love nothing more to stick it to Ro$$y one more time.

You couldn't say a bad word about SW in 2012

He was awesome, so was Arryn Siposs and Jamie Cripps

Otherwise P66 and his henchmen turned up with pitchforks.... At least P66 stayed fairly consistent... Others flip flopped

Indeed, Watters seemed to be travelling well in his first season. Perhaps unfortunate to have missed taking us into the finals.

Speaking for myself, I was quite happy with him in his first season. Played the youth, rewarded for, etc... Year 2 however the team selections were really bizarre and a bit baffling.
Then all of this senior player struggles emerged.

I don't know what was happening there exactly, but whatever he was trying to do he failed to get the players, the board and the supporters to buy into it. You can't be a coach if no one believes in you
