Tend to agree. Can mark and can kick. Also got a fist in to a pack of Giants on numerous occasions. Not our worst by any stretch. I have him ahead of Fisher at this stage of their careers. Sam is really only just hanging in there and turns it over too often now.

On and off the ground.

Gun opponents with excellent service.

Did OK IMO.

Some good things, some bad things. Did well under the circumstances. We need to persevere with him. We need new defenders desperately. (Some midfielders that can kick a ball lace out would be handy also.)

I'd like him to have half a dozen games in a row. He's an elite kick, and he was reasonable in defence today. Hopefully, with a bit of confidence, he may even start linking up through the middle of the ground, something that Roberton does well.

Lee had a good game. Surprised that some thought he did not.

His kicking was superb too. Often not the case with our defenders. Savage was very good with his kicking too.

Probl today was our mids. Not our defenders.

Was better in the 2nd half but got lost a lot in the first half, was led to the ball by Cameron a lot. Those blaming dempster or fisher for Cameron's goal are kidding themselves. Fisher and dempster were both brilliant today on much bigger and stronger opponents. Also special mention to Jimmy Webster who spent more than a quarter on Jonathan Patton and was just so gutsy and strong in marking contests against a monster of a bloke

Happy with Lee today; was at the ground and he covered a lot of it. Although he missed that goal it was fantastic to see him switch Into offensive mode.

Even the women behind me with voices like cut glass who bagged almost every member of our team today were struggling to find something to abuse Tom for.

Patience. I think he's showing some good signs for a bloke who's only had a year playing at the opposite end of the ground, and two games at senior level in that spot.

As for the rest of our backs, I thought they did well; absolutely nothing you can do to out position the monsters when the ball is pinging in that fast. They saved a number of goals through willing themselves to the ball; could have been a much much worse scoreline. Jimmy Webster played 5 inches taller today and did not give up.

2nd game as a defender against a really potent attack and I thought he did really well. He's got great hands pulling in some great marks and has the courage to go for them. His kicking was really good today. Isn't the most agile which is a bit of an issue. He may find himself out of the team to get Goddard in but he might have a future if he can keep developing.

Really begs the question why a player who isn't generally considered in our best 22, playing his 2nd game in 2 years in Lee is manning a Coleman medalist and the most dangerous forward on the ground in Cameron.

The question is, WTF are the coaches thinking?

Lee played very well for a guy in his 15th game of league football.

The real question is, what choice did the coaches have? It's clearly not a long term thing with Carlisle out. And fisher has had it tough lately on the key forwards.

Lee was good today, much more rounded performance than last week. If he can work on being just a tiny bit quicker before next year he will be very serviceable.

Said last week he deserved a month in the side to see how he'd cope. Today showed he has a hope - he was OK, did some good things. He, like a couple of other poor bastards, found himself undersized against opponents who were on the end of an undisrupted tsunami of entries.

Also thought he did a fair job when he went into the centre against Mumford. Battled manfully, and we didn't get dominated while he was in the guts.

He stays.

Excellent comments on Lee.
His ruckwork- he provided an honest contest against Mummy, and wasn't shamed.
Although their mids got first use because they read the ball much better than us, and we were always 5m behind...not Lee's fault at all, he tried in a Blake-like fashion.
