Thanks Lyon you asswipe.
Ah, we got Jack Newnes for Lynch. I prefer a rock solid citizen like Newnes who will be a good 200+ game player for us, a leader and the type of footballer who goes well in finals.
It was a good deal for both clubs, however I think time will prove that we did better out of the deal.

... We had a number 1 pick this year and we are all hoping like hell that what we saw this year from him was nothing like the player he is going to be. But the signs are not good. Apparently, he is about the same height as Seb Ross but even slower. I saw no leap and he didn't get it often enough to access his field skills.

I think someone misread the tape measure.
He looks short when surrounded by other players.
He will not be out marking 198cm full backs.

I was very pleased for Paddy being able to have some serious impact against the triple premiers. He topped it off nicely with his beautifully timed big mark near the end. It would have been nice to see the ball register the 6 points for the Saints but Paddy (as far as I know) will be back out there next week and continue benefiting from quality time out on the ground.
Games in a row for McCartin (& St. Kilda) is a win in itself.
