Glass half full. Felt similar tingles in the spine just 7 days ago, when we get the ball moving we are a major problem for ANY team.

Judging by today , no idea. Maybe more time to kick in Vfl, his action is so slowsaint-stu wrote:Why does everyone say Lee's kicking is good?

Geez we worked hard that quarter. Half time 50 to 45. Like night and day in comparison with the last (horrific) couple of times we've played them.

We have GIFTED the Hawks 4 goals. Apart from that we are going well.
Geary has absolutely no capacity these days to use the ball if remotely under any pressure. Is the indecision king.

Yes rubbish. Eli was in space. Geary f+++++ up big time as he simply has so capacity to make the a good decison quickly.
I mean Templeton was in the clear. WTF hesitate?

What position is Tommy Lee playing in today? I've only got a the radio and the official stats to go by.

Even mighty hawthorn looked knackered at the end of that quarter. Our tackling is very good and we are 72 to 66 contested possessions

He's got penetration in his kicking. The one he kicked from half back to half flank (went out of bounds) you could see how he can kick. You've got to cut him some slack playing his first AFL game in defence against the reigning premiers on a windy ground.saint-stu wrote:Why does everyone say Lee's kicking is good?

Sort of CHB but has been up the wing and often up against Ceglar in the contestsroskilde wrote:What position is Tommy Lee playing in today? I've only got a the radio and the official stats to go by.

Paddy started well but drifted out of sight. Might come into more if players tire. When we run and take the game on we looked fantastic. Need to be brave and keep at it.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Hawks @ Tassie
Richo needs to tell his onballers not to all run goalside of contests- quick play on is good, but someone needs to stay back and guard the front of the contests- Hawks clearing marking contests too easy as a result. Fisher, Dempster and Geary need to really sort their disposal and decision making out in the back half. Still a chance to sneak in front, but Mitchell getting too many easy gets, and our mids need to really take the initiative in the next half and attack the ball hard in the tight stuff...still doing a bit too much watching.
I'm not going to can Lee seeing he hasn't played seniors for so long- cut him some slack. Good effort so far Saints.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Hawks @ Tassie
the only thing I can think of is that geary was facing the sun and having a go at Eli for not calling out...having said that..I have always said Geary should not be allowed near oppo goals.Darth Vader wrote:Why was Geary going off at Eli?Bluthy wrote:bloody geary unbelebable
If not for silly no pressure mistakes we would be well in front...we didn't make these mistakes last week.
